Rough idel , cuts out while in drive , stalls ,engine skip
I just got this car a while ago and it idels rough ..while im driving it it feels like its not wanting to go foward like its skiping ..the tires feels like its jumping up and down..when i gun it foward it hold its self back then kickes in ..then starts skiping then slowing down i just changed the fuel filter to...what can i do to try to fix it?

Take the car to a garage that has a computer. I had the same problem and it turned out to be the idler solenoid that is located on top of the engine on the fuel injector port. The computer will diagnose the problem in a short time.

Had sam eproblem. Gerage after gerage did not help at all. Stand infront of your car with bonnet open. On the lef hand side (standing infront of the car) between boddy an engine is a round black container, next to it is a small vacume switch, check the thin rubber pipes is conected, it can have a leak or like mine broke off. after fixing it my problem were solved. Ideling were up and down must be leaking vacume pipe. never bypass. if pipes is ok check and test vacume switch. Kia ideling is controlled by this small vacume switch !!!!! What a great car. Vacume leak or bad idle motor. With the car in park and running with the hood open listen for leaks moving your hand around the different hoses looking for a change in the sounds that you hear. The idel motor also makes the car idel up to 1500 RPM or so right at start-up then idel down, If it doesn;t the idel motor is likly. Check engine light is on when running? Test for codes, Follow code test charts don't skip any steps!.
i have a 1986 chevy corvette, when you fist start the motor it idel fine, when it wormes up, it ideling rough and RPM jumps up and down, and you can smell gas when you fist statrt it but there is no leaks,also when your driving about 45mph it puags down until you push it and then runs fine. please help me with this issue.
what kind of engine do you have? if it is the 2.o F.S.I your crank case breather valve can be acting up on you and will cause these concerns. If you have a 1.8t check the wire harness going to you coils look for cracks in your harness the ground wire if you see copper that is you problem will need to get ignition coil wire harness and cut and splice in new wire harness
sounds like you may have a problem with your Idle air control valve, located on the throttle body. this is what controls the idle when coming to a stop or stopped and turning corners or basically when your foot is not on the gas pedal
