That depends on where you are ,ansd who is doing the work.the motor mount is cheap,but most garages will mark up the price

    IT broke down in front of Toyota dealer.. engine light is flashing also and it seems it turns off when idleling . Once it gets gas it runs but rough

    They told me it is the iddlelist for the timing belt $ 564.00 complete with tax and the rental fees will not be charged to me . Is that a fair price?

If it makes noise, it's not the fuse. Most likely the discharge nozzles are stopped up. Try blowing compressed air into them from the outside.

check for a broken timing belt as the valves may be blocking the engine . Remove the spark plugs in case a cylinder is full of water /fuel and is in hydraulic lock. Check oil level as it may have seized the engine.

I know where the sensor 2 is but where is the bank 1 for my 1999 subaru forrester code PO 141 O2 sensor heater bank1 sensor 2?


For 1999 Subaru Truck Forester AWD 2.5L MFI 4cyl the Oxygen Sensor is located under hood, center, rear engine area, mounted on catalytic converter.

My 2003 Subaru Forrester with 89,000 miles was periodically shaking a lot the other day and I opened the hood and there was a spark coming from the coil pack. The repair place said I need a new one...


It's likely the coil. Subaru issued a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on this issue. This is not a recall but you may want to show this to your Subaru mechanic or call Subaru after your repair to try to at least defray some or all of the cost for the repair. The link is below:

It probably is the converter. The check engine light has nothing to do with maintenance at all, nor does it really directly concern the engine. The check engine light comes on for emmission purposes. Such as converter, loose gas cap and all kinds of sensors.

Save all the parts for your own needs, like the heads and all the sensors and accessories.  You never know!  The rest is worth some money at the local scrap yard, maybe 50 dollars!
