SOURCE: Engine running hot

Sounds like your antifreeze level is low. When it flows you get hot air and when there's an air bubble due to lack of antifreeze all you'll get is air.

The Idle Air Control valve might be bad and may need to be replaced. It should be located on one of the heater hoses. You can take the cable off and move it one way or another to see if it will get hot. If it doesn't then it should be replaced, or the heater core might be clogged.

SOURCE: Heater blows hot air while car is moving but cold

That sounds like the coolant level is low. If it is not the use of "stop leak" has probably caused a partial clog which restricts the flow of water unless the vehicle is turning higher RPMS. While sitting still raise the RPMS to about 2000 and see if the heater blows hot air to see if the above mentioned problems are fact.

Heater not warming up

Most likely the thermostat broke. I expect that you have an older Hyundai and never had the anti-freeze changed. When the engine is cold the thermostat is closed which causes the engine to warm up more quickly. A warm engine runs more efficiently (less gas) and more smoothly. When the engine temp reaches a certain temp the thermostat opens and then allows the hot engine coolant to run through the lines to the heater core. The heater blows air over the heater core which produces the warm air that warms up the cabin. Thermostats used to be cheap and easy to change. I would suggest a web search for how to replace the thermostat. Something like 'hyundai accent 2002 replace thermostat".

I have a 2002 Chevy tracker. It's been running hot on the temp gage. So, I have changed the thermostat and replaced the radiator hose because of corrosion but it still overheats and when I turn on

If there is cold air coming out the heater than there is air in the system. After you replaced the thermostat did you run the engine at idle with the radiator cap off until the engine came up to operating temp? Doing this will purge the air from the system.

I have a problem with the heater on Ford Escort 1.9 TD. The fan works but blows cold air. Changed the water pump, the system is filled with liquid, but no heating. What could be the problem?

maybe the thermostat is bad if the upper and lower hoses are both hot that means your thermostat is open and you should have heat. there could just be air bubbles in the system some times their will be a bleeder near thermostat housing just open it while its running till all air comes out.or you are a little low on fluid.
the only other 2 thing i can think of is if your heater core is clogged try to flush it out,or if you have a blend door actuator or a vent control valve hooks to your heater hoses near heater core that is bad that normally opens and closes. a door or valve shutting the hot air from entering.sorry there is a lot of things that can cause your problems!

No heat after warm up, need to change Thermostat

If your car is otherwise running fine, then the thermostat is doing its job and replacing it is not going to fix your heater. Either your heater core is bad or the mix flap which allows cold air into the hot air is broken. I would take it to a dealer and get their view and estimate, if they tell you they want to replace the thermostat, take it to another dealer.

Heater air does not fully get hot now only warm at times it even changes to cold I am thinking thermastst ,flow valve or bad acuater???

thermostat may be the key, also check to see that both heater hoses are hot , if both are luke warm suspect thermostat, if one is hot and one cold suspect heater core, if both are hot suspect blend door motor......HAVE FUN

Tempeture guage not working and heater is blowing out very little hot air on my ford galaxy

you need to get the thermostat changed. The thermostat controls how much coolant runs around the engine and sends signals to your temp gauge to indicate how hot the engine is.
if the thermostat is faulty it wont sent signals to the temp gauge and wont open up to allow coolant to run around the system. Your heating is run by coolant, behind the dash there is the heater matrix hot coolant runs into the matrix which gets blown inside the cab.
Fitting a new thermostat will fix all the heating and gauge problems. if your technical minded you can buy a thermostat from an autofactor (or ford, but they are expensive from ford). a garage will charge about £30-£100 ish for a new one.

hope this helps :-)

I have a used 2000 wrangler 4.0 the air comming from the heater is not very hot .gauge shows around 200 degres do you think i should change the thermostat

no 200 degrees is plenty hot your thermostat should open at 195 degrees.check hoses to heater core make sure they are both hot if not you have blockage if they are hot then you might have a stuck blend air door.change thermostat as a last resort.

99 v6 camaro overheats and heater not working

My dad used to weld the cracks with JB weld. He would make aV shape line in the crack with a grinder and fill it in. I had a 79 GMC pickup that he fixed. I sold the truck several years later and it never leaked. But then again the heads were cast iron then.If your loosing coolant . That's why your heater is not working and your car . Take it back as WORKFORIT1 suggested and tell them about it.You are the one paying for it.
