How do I replace motor mounts on a 1998 Honda Civic LX?

It is important to lift the car off the ground with stands to get under the vehicle, if you are working on ground mounts or if you need to lift the motor. If you do lift the motor with a jack, make sure to use a 4 by 4 to cushion the aluminum oil pan. Do not overlift engine, you can break the oil pan if not careful.

When I go over bums I hear a clunking sound. I replaced struts and strut mounts. i also replace sway bar, links, and bushings. Any suggestions 2001 Honda civic

It could possibly be a ball joint. The way to see if this is the problem is to jack up the car, get the wheel you want to check off the ground, and place the vehicle securely on jack stands. Put one hand on the top center of the wheel and the other hand in line on the bottom. Simultaneously push in toward the center of the car on the top and pull towards yourself on the bottom. Rock the wheel back and forth in this fashion by alternating pushing and pulling on the top and bottom. If there is any free play in the wheel then it is most likely a bad ball joint. Hope this helps!

What does the srs warning light stand for

It stands for Safety Restraint System and illuminates when there is a problem with the seat belts. You will need a high end scan tool to get into this system to see what codes are present in order to narrow down the possibilities.

2002 honda civic radio code

Are you sure youhave the correct code? Look in the glove-box. Somewhere, usually on the left side on the bottom there is a small sticker with two sets of numbers. The five numbers standing by themselves are the code for the radio installed by the manufacturer. If you or someone else changed the radio, you may have to contact the radio manufacturer with the serial number of the radio for the correct code.

94 honda civic cat back replace with no hydraulic lift

I would use floor jacks and jack it up from the back as high as it will go and then set jack stands under it. Its front will drive so you dont have to worry about it rolling just make sure its in park and if its standard make sure its in gear. Be good to block the front wheels also.
