Question about Peugeot 308

Open Question

Dipped headlights seem too bright

I got my Peugeot 308 (59 reg) back from the mechanic on Monday after having a service and since having it back i've noticed that the dipped beams seem to be really bright. I thought that I had my main beams on by mistake at one point but I didn't. I've looked at the height adjust dial but it's not that. I've also been through the handbook and can't see anything in there. Any other suggestions? Thanks

SOURCE: 05 Renault Grand Scenic. No dipped headlights. Bulbs and fuses OK

Are u sure that the bulbs are OK? I had no dipped lights on mine, & thought it must be a fuse or another electrical fault. It turned out, both bulbs had gone. I think this often happens when one side goes, the other soon follows.

SOURCE: How do I change the

For VW Golf mk5 with 2.0 TFSI engine - air filter replacement instructions:
1. Unplug the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
2. Undo the spring clips and pull out the turbo inlet connector. 3. Remove the two T-25 screws on the air snorkle as shown below. 4. Remove the engine cover by pulling up HARD where indicated by the green circles in the photo below. 5. DO NOT APPLY ANY FORCE where indicated by the red diamonds in the photo below. 6. If it's cold weather, make sure the engine is warm so that the rubber grommets warm up and are flexible enough to come off. Cold, brittle plastic and stiff grommets will lead to a broken airbox/cover even if you otherwise do everything correctly. 7. Pull up on the rear driver's corner (near the battery box) first, then the rear corner where the MAF sensor is, then the fronts.

2. Each headlamp is equipped with two adjustment screws: one for lateral adjustment, and another one for height adjustment.

Poor headlights on rover 75

Yes you can. I bought led headlights for my 1948 fod. They are nice and bright. Before you replace your head lights check to make sure you have a good ground from the battery to the body.

Dim lights

I had the exact same problem. Everything checked out ok at the garage including the earths. Finally we discovered that it is very easy to push the bulbs in in the wrong position and they will work but they are too dim. There is only one way that they are supposed to fit in, as soon as we got them slotted in correctly - bingo, dazzling headlights!

Sounds like your multi function switch is bad. Headlights, high-low, TS all the same switch.

Car headlights. I have replaced the two dipped headlight bulbs as the old bulbs stopped working. They are now very dim when on dipped, and are only as bright as the side lights. The Full beams are...

It's actually VERY unlikely for BOTH bulbs to go at the same time - sounds like you have a wiring problem (loose connector somewhere or wire trapped and abraided ...) ....

See if you can follow the wires from the light clusters across the engine compartment (will be after the two sets 'join up' since both bulbs are effected) .. if you can't find an obvious break / connectror, you will have to take it to a garage ..

(If only one light went & you changed both, did you fit the right 'wattage' bulbs ??)
