Are 98 camry and 02 camry engines interchangeable?

I would have to say no. in 2002 the change the electronics and maybe other stuff. and there is 2 different engines you didn't add that. the blocks might be the same but you would have to change a lot of parts to make it work with the different engine management system

Are the frost plugs threaded on 2002 Yukon GMC 5.3 engine block

As far as I know, it has regular knock in freeze plugs. I recently used a block heater that installs in lower radiator hose. Easy to install and use. I ordered it from autozone. It is available in a few different hose diameters.
Otherwise you will have to drill and tap existing freeze plug
Hope this helps

I need to install a block heater on my 2002 Yukon as there isn't a factory block heater installed. Where on the block do I install, and does it matter which plug location I use??

Gasoline or diesel? Not all vehicles have a block heater provision. There is a generic heater that you can install in the lower radiator hose.

I have a 1999 camry. The fan only works on high. On high it works well so it's not a motor issue. I've checked the fuses and they are good. Any thoughts?

It sounds like the resistor block for your heater/AC fan has gone bad. Here's a link to a few I found on line for the 1999 camry to give you an idea of the cost. When the resistor block goes bad the motor defaults to its highest setting.

A local autoparts store like autozone should also carry this part. They will also probably be able to give you some advice about how to install it.

I hope this helps you out.

Where is the block heater cord

if installed properly, it should be accesible from the front without opening the hood. Check the grille area, or just under the bumper. If you are sure there is one installed - (not a factory option) look on the side of the engine block for a wire similar to this...
It is installed into the engine core drain plug.

Remove 2 ea, 8mm screws and unplug a 6 pin plug and a 2 pin plug. Replace unit install two screws and replug in connectors. Will take apx. 15 min. and will save you money and a trip to the shop.
