SOURCE: The odometer quit working on my 2003 Saturn Vue 4

not really able to trouble shoot this .. uhh you may need a new instrument panel.. this is something that a dealer will have to look at as it is illegal to mess with yourself.. But if it were me.. i would hook up an aftermarket odometer.. something you can take out.. and your engine will never gain any miles :) :) odometer would be just so you know the actual mileage.. ever go to sell it.. LOW MILES :)

please email me at cardenderek@yahoo.com if you have any more questions. and please accept solution so i can get credit for it :) thank you

My miles gauge stop working in my 03 Saturn vue

So does the Trip odometer work? Does the odometer work? If you answer is "sort of", does the odometer return to the same mileage every time your 2003 Saturn VUE sits overnight? The VUE has an all electronic odometer sensor that is in the transmission, so you may need to replace that. I also agree with JDCamped that those wires may need replaced, but the mice? I would think burned/shorted in a wiring harnes is far more common and you should see a "Check Engine" light. The cluster just shows the data from the sensors, if they are blank, then that is the cluster.

My son has a 2003 Saturn Vue which he bought used and has had less than 2 years. Recently the odometer and fuel gauge will quit working, it is random and but oddly will just as randomly start working...

It's either the BCM or the speed sensor, have it scanned with a a gm tech 2 scanner or equivelant to pinpoint the problem. I hope this helps.

I have a 2003 Saturn Vue. The light on the odometer/trip meter has gone out. Is this something that we can repair ourselves? I can see the numbers changing if i use a flashlight to illuminate the site. ...

look on youtube for a video of someone pulling a saturn instrument cluster out and then decide if you want to take it on. this is not uncommon in saturns. i had mine done when they were replacing the wiper motor, another common saturn problem, in order to save duplicate labor. i would not have replaced it otherwise.

My odometer seems to have rolled back after having a new bcm put in on a 2003 saturn vue. What do i do?

Just record the miles that you think was on it and throw it in the glove box. You can not set the miles on these things.

Odometer not working

I had the same problem with my '94 Sl2. You have to take out your gages and send them in to get repaired. It is a little wheel where the odometer is that isn't working. The odometer is a speed rated so it is only activated by your car computer.
