SOURCE: abs codes co281 & co265

the first of the two codes is for the brake light switch, the one that is under the dash attached to the brake rod and brake peddle. Not much to diag on that one, if its bad it's bad, and when it sets the code that means it's bad.
The second one is for the abs modual, it's under the truck on the drivers side. It is bolted to the top of the thing that has all of the brake lines going to it. MOST all of the time that code is set the modual is bad. It can be a little hard to get the bolts out they are torqs 20 or 25(i'm getting old). There are four of them holding down the modual. There are also a couple of connectors going to it. And some of the time it will blow the fuse for the abs under the hood(its in the underhood fues block). Make sure to clean off the modual before you pull it out. You don't want dirt getting in the solinoids for the BPMV(that's the thing it's bolted to).

I have a 98 c1500. 5.0 l V8 Stopped at a light then upon acceleration it woulndt shift past 2nd great. CEL came on. Giving me co221 co222 and co237 codes. And light is NOT on.

C0221, C0222 are your left and right wheel speed sensors. C0237 is your rear wheel speed sensor. It looks like your computer has lost contact with all of your speed sensors and can't tell how fast you are going and is basically freaking out. Check your ABS and Traction Control(if you have T/C) fuses. Other than that, I would seek help of a good diagnostic mechanic.

98 gmc jimmy Abs light on brake pedal shutters

your brake pads are worn out or there is no brake fluid left, OR as the codes relate to the signal recieved from the ABS brake sensors i'd start there by making sure the gap isnt glogged up with road dirt etc , all wheels and check the pads etc also the brake switch circuit is at issue , may need a further disgnostic to resolve these issues as could well be the ABS control unit (worst case senario)

The code PO222 you can Google
