Does the window try to move, meaning it is stuck in its track, or does the motor not try to move the window? If the latter then look at the rocker switch on your center console that controls the rear windows. I had to replace my switches to get my rear windows working.

Power windows will not work on 1989 Toyota Celica convertable

How do you know it is a fuse or a relay? It could be a broken wire. It could be a faulty master switch....It could be a LOT of things....

The power window circuits need to be properly diagnosed to determine the cause of the problem.

With that said, the ONLY relay related to your power window circuits is the "auto-down" relay, which is an integral part of the driver's master switch assembly - you cannot replace it without replacing the entire switch.

There is no fuse for the power window circuits on your 1989 Toyota Celica...I guess that explains WHY you cannot find it. Your power window circuits are protected by a 30 Amp, self-resetting circuit breaker located in Junction Block #1 (in the left kick panel).

My top on my 1997 saab 900 se turbo convertible, the top is'nt letting down correctly, the window is not goin down like it suppose too. it gets stuck at the last step when its in the proccess of...

Here the fix the saab convertable has the famous failed ground wire of the convertable top, the line the ground in the converatable itself and yes it fails, here is what you do behind the driver side is the convertable module you must identify the ground (I think it brown but very not sure), ground the convertable control ground wire and you will be functioning in no time dont bother to repair the ground in the top just the control top module and attach it to a good ground where it is mounted

1995 Jaguar convertable XJS quarter light windows wont go up

The rear windows are controlled by a timer in the top's ECU. If
the rear windows stop fully closing before your top is closed, the
problem MAY be with top's hydraulic system.

Check your top's hydraulic reserve tank for low fluid level. Lack
of fluid will greatly delay the top's closing sequence, leaving
those rear windows partially open.
Your top's hydraulic pump system is located beneath the right side
of the cubby/storage box behind the front seats. Raise the cover
and you'll see a removable trim panel on the right side. The pump
is behind that access panel.

You can use power steering fluid to top off the tank, but don't
fill it above level indicator line. You may have to add more fluid
after you cycle the top up and down to get the air bubbles out of
the lines.
It could also be a relay. On a 95 the relays that are in the trunk above the battery.
Perhaps, just switching the relays might prove which one is failing..

Hi I have the same problem on my 1999 Carrea, I had the windows at the rear stuck down and the roof latch keeps open and closing, I have not solved this yet it could be a relay but it all started when I was opening and closing on the keypad, if you get the roof up and cant get the rear windows to close get the roof closed to a locking position and where the hood lock pulls back at the roof lock station slide a thin s crew driver up the side of the lock hook they close then, also a tip, if you stick your little finger in the hole where the hood lock goes and press both the rear window buttons up they close when the roof is down. if anyone knows why my hood wont lock please let me know

Does anyone know where the motor for the convertible top is located on a 01 pontiac firebird?

its actually a very intricate system of motors and support arms i wouldnt try to do it yourself. pontiacs are notorious for having problems with those type of motors like windows, headlights, and convertable tops. as a matter of fact i had a pontiac sunfire with the same problem i just got the convertable top up and left it that way cause it got stuck half way up once so stop using it till you get it fixed or you might have a permanent convertable.

1995 toyota celica

With the year of the car, the electric motors for the windows are weakening. the rubber seals on the windows have so much hold on the window, that a weak motor will not have enough power and thus will need to be replaced. You can remove the door panels, by removing all the screws, take flathead screwdriver and lighly pry around panel, pull up and remove panel. Then remove inside plastic and you will have access to the window motors.
