SOURCE: Radiator Fan's Run All The Time

There are 2 things that will cause this to happen. 1. The thermostat needs to be replaced and, 2. The coolant sensor can be bad. When I had this problem, I changed them both at the same time, she been just fine since then. Also, I had the check engine light on, and got the code from AutoZone (it's free!)

SOURCE: radiator fan stays on all the time and car runs rough

The fan relay may be malfunctioning (the fan relay is what actually switches the fan on and off and gets its signal from the ECM, which in turn gets its signal from the temp sensor) testing/replacing the relay and temp sensor would be the best thing to start with,... unless you notice any additional (non factory) wire attached to the power wires to the fan.  Sometimes folks, in an attmpt to fix  an overheating or fan relay problem, attach a ignition switched positive lead from the fusebox or other switched source to the positive poer lead on the fan,.. making the fan run whenever the ignition is switched on.

SOURCE: engine runs hotter than normal..lower radiator hose stays cold...

you could have air in the cooling system. look for a bleeder screw in a small coolant line.

SOURCE: engine warning light has come on

you need to have the trouble codes checked with a obd2 code reader.
it could be the throttle postion sensor if the car would not accelerate but there is no way to tell for sure until you see what trouble code the vehicle is throwing. most auto parts stores will check them for free. hope this helps

SOURCE: Peugeot 106 1.0 litre, temperature warning light

hi, if the collant level is ok and the car isnt over heating then check the heater works in the car and make sure it gives of heat when hot is selected if it dont then the chances are the thermostat has gone and needs replacing.

If on the other hand you have heat then the chances are its just a faulty temp sensot these are cheap to buy and easy to replace.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

2006 Toyota Hybrid Highlander, Everything sounding and driving fine until pulled up to a drive thru line with foot still on brake, car seemed to start "missing" (old school) running rough, then a loud

this fan noise may be the coolant fan doing the job of cooling the radiator when there is no air flow through the radiator as in standing in a line or at lights. IN a drive through line you would have the window down and so the noise came to your attention when the fan cut in. However have it checked out by an accredited repair shop to put your mind at rest.

Lights went out and radiator fan stays running after car is shut off

It sounds like an alternator, yet you say the fan still worked after you disconnected the battery? And the car was still running? Or the car died out. Sorry, need some more details on this one.

Engine overheating i have replaced the radiator has plenty of water

replace thermostat.then bleed coolant system, this is how you do it.fill the cooling coolant system with 50 / 50 dexcool and water to raise boiling point, straight water will evaporate boil away cause engine to overheat catch fire thats why you need 50 / 50 mixture antifreeze and water.to bleed coolant system first fill coolant system until coolant stay at the full cold mark on the the coolant overflow jug, then you start engine allow it to idle, place the heater and ac control in any ac setting except max and the temperature control to the highest setting, run engine until lower hose to water pump is hot. with the engine hot run the engine speed up to 3000 rpm and allow it return to idle, repeat this 5 times. slowly open the bleed valve on the thermostat housing or look for bleed valve at the water pump heater hose.open bleed valve for 15 seconds to expel any trapped air.then top off the coolant as necessary, and when top radiator hose hot thermostat open up.keep adding cooling to overflow until coolant level stop at full cold mark dont over fill coolant.if engine seem like overheating while looking at cooling gauge turn off engine wait a while until cool off add more coolant until coolant level stay stable and dont drop any.when open radiator overflow cap use large rag over the radiator cap to keep from getting scald open radiator cap a little at a time but dont open radiator cap until engine cool down first.replace the radiator overflow cap, thermostat, and engine coolant temperature sensor and check the cooling fans fuses and relays see what happens.

My 05 equinox keeps over heating. We replaced the thermostat. The car will run then the temp gauge goes up. When I drive it the temp gauge goes up then after driving like 2 miles it goes down then back up...

If you are positive there is no air in the cooling system and it is full of coolant, I would look for a blockage in the system or a faulty water pump.

The Warning Light Comes on "Stop Engine Low Oil Pressure" what does this mean

car needs oil pressure or bearings will wear out in short time. Do not drive or start engine with this light on. Might only be pressure sending unit. Can replace sending unit and start briefly to see if problem resolves. If light still stays on, shut off engine and have oil pump replaced.

My check engine light has been on for 2 days now and there's some sort of loud fan that starts up whenever I start my car and it runs constantly until I turn the car off. It makes it embarassing to pull up...

sounds like the radiator cooling fan is stuck on .. that normally only comes on if the radiator gets hot ... there is a thermal switch mounted on the radiator that senses the temperature and turns on the fan . if its contacts get stuck then the fan stays on ... .. in some cars there is a relay that could get stuck . the relay is operated by the thermal switch .. .

95 Subaru Legacy won't start/radiator fan stays on

It's one of three things:  air, spark, or fuel.

It's most likely not air.  So I'll rule that one out.

That leaves fuel or spark.  I'd remove a spark plug wire from the coil and set a screwdriver nearby.  It it arcs, then you know you have spark.  There's a good chance you may need to replace something in your ignition system.

However, seeing as how quickly it just "died," I might also suggest the fuel pump.
