hi from uk the rear brake calipers are auto adjust and so to reset the pistons back into calipers you need to rewind clockwise the piston whilst pushing piston back there is a tool for this purpose which does job in minutes however!! you can improvise if you have an old socket and hacksaw ? you can look at piston and see there are two slots on it? if you cut away an old socket so left with prongs to fit these slots then fit t bar and short extension to socket then you can push and turn piston back make sure slots are in line as to able fitting of new pads one has notch on rear face to insert in piston slot this also works for other models with rear calipers ? cheaper than the tool at £40 to £60 inthe uk dependant on makers hope this helps/inspires you ?

For front brake pads replacement you need only usually wrench set, inclusive 7 mm allen key also.
But for rear brake pads replacement you need obligatory a special caliper piston pressing tool, in order to press back rear caliper piston with parking brake automatic adjustment!!!
For front brake pads. First you must verify yours front brake disc diameter: 280 mm or 288 mm. (On my car y have 288 mm). After that you can buy the brake pads (with wear sensor). For change front brake pads you must raise vehicle, remove wheels, extract the retaining spring of the caliper, and remove the caliper as follow:
1. Do not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper, and do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake hose!
2. Remove top and bottom caps (on back side of the caliper) for access to guide pins, then unbolt and remove them from the brake carrier. Remove the caliper.
3. Now you must thoroughly clean the brake calipers (free of grease).
4. Remove outer brake pad from brake carrier.
5. Pull inner brake pad out of brake caliper piston.
6. Check up the brake fluid level on the reservor, and emptying if neccessary!
7. Push piston back into brake caliper housing.
8. Install inner brake pad (with expanding spring) in brake caliper piston. (Arrow marked on pad - if exist, must point in direction of brake disc rotation when vehicle is moving forward).
9. Install outer brake pad into brake carrier.
10. Bolt brake caliper housing to brake carrier using two guide pins. Tightening torque is 25 Nm.
11. Install both caps.
12. Insert retaining spring into brake caliper housing. Important: Depress the brake pedal firmly several times while the car is stationary so that the brake pads adjust to their normal operating positions!!! Check brake fluid level and top up if neccessary!!!

tools needed wheel brace trolley jack Axel stand for safety and a set of Alan/hex keys large screw driver
1, lift the hood and unscrew the brake master cylinder cap
2, loosen Th wheel nuts on one front wheel
3, place jack under car on same side as the loosened wheel behind the wheel have a look under car there will be a chassis cross member jack on this raise the car place axe stand under the same cross member and lower jack so car rest on the stand
4,remove wheel place key in ignition lock and turn to first position and turn to full lock
5,go back to the side that the wheel is off and you should see the brake calliper in the top of it will be a large slot where you can see the pads place the screw driver in the slot between the pad and disc and pull it towards you gently but with force you will now have a gap and the caliper will slid from side to side
6. on the caliper there is black rubber on the top and bottom of it with a bung in them pop the bung on and take the hex key set out size ten i think and unscrew the bolts re move the bolts and the clipper will fall off rest it on top of the disc and the pads will slide out
7, and to refit the new pads just do the steps in reverse and re peat on other side
important note pump brake pedal before you replace the master cylinder cap

Same as any other vehicle.
1. Raise and support vehicle
2. Remove tire/wheel
3. Loosen/remove the two caliper bolts
4. Slide caliper off the rotor.
5. Use a C-Clamp to depress the caliper piston
6. Remove old pads from caliper
7. Install new pads on caliper
8. Install caliper/tighten caliper bolts
9. Install tire/wheel
11 Move to next wheel/repeat
Some people take a turkey baster and remove some of the brake fluid from the master cylinder prior to depressing the caliper piston because it can over flow. If you choose to do that just add the fluid back when finished so it is at its proper level.

i have a vw caddy 08 plate had about 3 months and the screen wash spray my heater 1 to 4 and parrot bluetooth have just stoped working at same time have had it come back on while drivind and was fine but now its all stoped again please help
