It supplies the EFI Main relay, which in turn powers the fuel pump, ignition switch, and starter relay. In addition it powers the ECM computer, so that if you wish to clear a trouble code from there, you pull the EFI fuse for 30 sec. See here p177

I have a 1991 Toyota Camery. I was running the car and I pulled the EFI fuse. I am now having trouble getting the car to start. It seems like it wants to turn over but will not fire. What should I do?

The car was running when the fuse was pulled? That may have put a voltage spike into something electronic. If the car turns over

oops........add- then the main relay is OK or the starter will not operate. I think the first thing would be to get a readout of trouble codes, if any. Then you should check for fuel flow and presence of a spark at the plugs. See here

I does sound like it wants to turn over, but it just will not fire up. Almost like it is not getting any gas.

SOURCE: EFI fuse keeps blowing in 1998 Camry

There is only ONE reson why a fuse blows: Something is overloading the circuit and drawing more amperage than the fuse is designed to handle. This is what is known as an "overload" or a "short circuit".

Plesase read the following two articles:
Where's the fuse?
What else could be wrong?

If after reading these two articles, you think you would like to try your hand at tracking this down and fixing it yourself, and you are sure you have the correct equipment (as listed in the articles), let me know and I will help walk you through it.

Look behind the driverside kick panel. There is a removable panel. You will find the fusebox behind that panel.

you may have a short of some kind, when a fuse blows repeatedly it is no good just replacing, you are being told that something is wrong with the equipment.
You will almost certainly have to visit a technician for a diagnosis. It is unlikely to be something that an inexperienced end user can sort out I am afraid.

GOOD LUCK

15amp efi fuse blows

It is not related to car being cool down , I think you are having ignition switch on . The EFI fuse goes directly to the contact switchin the EFI relay. Maybe try removing the EFI relay, turn the ignition to ON, and see if the fuse blows.
Doing this, the car won't start, but it might give you a clue as to where the short circuit is located. ... Check the fuse/relay box next to the driver side fender in the engine compartment.

Dashboard and break lights won't turn on

don't break the brakes.
Test 1, do the head lights work, and not dim>?
if no, then fix that first. HL are super easy and work at all times
even keys i pocket they work,(safety)

the dashboard what? be more specific.?
on all cars , you year not stated. the dash lamps all come on key on
this the warning lamps self test.
the 2 critical ones are not the brake.
they are CEL and OIL pressure.
The CEL comes on to tell you the EFI is alive.
if the CEL does not come on, the lamp is burned out. or the EFI is dead.
If there is no EFI there will never be RUN.
the brake lamps comes on to tell you the hand brake is on.
and 2 more other reasons. low brake fluid, or bad brakes.
depends on year, not stated..

The electric power comes from the battery , clean the terminals first.
then to the main fuse box.
The main box feeds the dash box. and HL fuse
the EFI fuse are there and will have 12vdc on both sizes,
if not fix that next
there are be 3 fuse for EFI. (power, spark and memory)
if power or spark is 0volts , there will be no running.)

what year car, and what engine option.
size..

Efi fuse blows when car strts wher is the efi located

NO YEAR stated (old post)
there is no EFI fuse. sorry,
the ECU has 3 fuses.
FI, Dome, and IG-coil
all 3 run the ECU.
i do know what you ment.
but knowing the correct name makes reading the FSM better.
my guess 2 is you lost the fuse box cover and cant read the names.
guessing year at 91 -95
http://www.fixkick.com/power-elect/fusepanel-left-knee1w.jpg

the ECU fuse blows page. is here
http://www.fixkick.com/power-elect/blows-fuse.html

top reasons.
ECU bad CAPS
shorting fuel pump (they pull 4amps normal) if 10amps or
more they blow the fuse and or causes the ECU to click relays
like mad.

Fuel pump not starting

Below is the location of what I believe you are looking for. I also included a picture of the location of the terminals for the FP & +B on that connector. Below that picture is the location of the fuse panel that the EFI fuse and relay are located. Below that picture is a diagram of the fuse layout with descriptions so you can locate them in that fuse panel. Now there is also an opening circuit relay that the FP circuit goes through. The EFI relay also depends on this relay. In the last picture is the location of that relay. Now exactly sure if this is what you are looking for or what problems you are having but I believe this is the information you are looking for.

Why does my efi fuse keeps popping 1999 chevy prizm

Pull the EFI relay, replace the fuse, and see if it blows when you turn the key on. If it does not turn the key off, reinstall the EFI relay and remove the circuit opening relay/fuel pump relay. Turn the key on. If the fuse blows than we know the problem is One of the O2 sensors, the IAC, the purge solenoid, or the ECM You can unplug the O2 sensors, iac, and purge solenoid. Replace the fuse, turn the key on, and plug them in one at a time until the fuse blows. Replace that component. If the fuse blows with those unplugged than its probaly the wiring and possibly the ECM. let me know what you find and I'll help you more if needed.

Unsure if promblem is fixed. Blowing efi fuse.

The most common reason for the EFI fuse to blow is the wiring is rubbed through somewhere in the engine wiring harness, this fuse supplies power to many EFI parts on the engine, always look for shorts where the most movement is, the engine is that place, most likely the next time you go down a really rough road the short may occure again, carry a few fuses just to be safe.
