SOURCE: Size of sway bar bushings
go to gmpartsdirect.com go to the catalog tab, agree select your car year make etc, front suspension/stabilizer bar components/stabilizer bar/bushing this should get you what you need. This web site has all GMparts at reduced prices. Hope this helps with your problem

You can do that in the ground but it is easier to have a jack handy to get the bolts to align back in the chassis by changing vehicle loading on bar. No special stuff I know of...

ok you have me confused? Your sway bar should be attached to your frame and your "LOWER CONTROL ARMS" via sway bar bushings.
