No low beams

Kia Optima 2005. Driving down the road. At the same time both low beams went out.
New fuse in panel fuse box. New fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. New light bulbs on both sides (no didn’t touch with fingers). Still, low beams don’t work. Note, both high beams work just fine. HELP!

Hi!

For your low beams, I'd say check fuses first. Should your fuse prove OK, check relays: Have someone turn the lights on and off, engine off, key in "Run," and you put your head down by the relay box under the hood to see if you hear some clicking. If your fuse is good but you hear no clicking, youve got yourself a bad relay.

If you do hear clicking, you can try replacing the bulbs.

If you happen to have a multi meter, you can mostly skip the above steps by simply checking for voltage at the low beam plug. With the car off, you should have between 10 and 12 volts.

Check the connections and make sure that they haven't been damaged in any way.

Try replacing the bulbs for the low beam may have got damaged due to overvoltage from the battery(Both of them can't happen but still we can try.)

    Thanks

Low beams stopped working but high beams and parking lights work

Check your fuse box for a blown fuse/ fuseable link found in the engine compartment. (Usually by the battery in a black box with a diagram on top of the box.)

My 2004 Kia Optima died while I was driving down the road. there was no fire and no gas what do I do

Test crank/cam sensor. A failure here can kill spark AND tell ECU not to send fuel.

2004 kia optima stalled while driving down the road after 15min or so it willstart backup

if check engine light comes on, get it scanned. you can get it scanned at auto-zone for free. as long as the check engine light is on. but it sounds like a bad crank sensor! that is the way the sensor is. it will die out and about 15 or 20 minutes it will restart. get it scanned. good-day! it controls the timing of engine.

I need the location of the adjustments for the lower beam on a 2007 Kia Optima. The manual shows one, and it IS labeled lower beam in the book, but that adjustment moves the high beam.

there is a bolt on the back of the housing, 8 or 10mm that adjusts the low beam up and down. I hated the aiming of the low beam headlights too

It's in the fuse box located inside the car on the kick panel
1OA..this fuse also controls your hazard lights.

Each light has its own fuse. Have you checked them? Maybe try switching two of them to see if they swap which one works... Once in a while a fuse that looks good has actually gone bad. Comment on this post if this doesn't help and we can move to the next step. Good luck!

It could be a fuse bad connection to the lamps or the switch itself

My 05 kia optima is loosing power

To confirm the clutch is slipping , drive at about 35mph in 5th gear and then put your foot to the floor (making sure the road in front is clear!) IF the engine note increases along with the revs and the speed stays the same then it is the clutch that needs replacing.
