I remove two panel underneath the steering column. The first panel is removed using a 10 mm socket. The second panel is removed using a torx socket (can't remember the size). Removing these two panels gives you room to get to the clip on speedomter. Looking at the speedometer, you should see two rectangular holes on each side of the speedometer cover. I use a awl to push in the clip (you could use a screwdriver). Looking underneath the dash, you should be able to see the clip you are pushing on with the awl. I take my 2nd awl and put it behind the clip. I get the left side to release. One the speedometer cover releases, you can see the speedometer. You will see the 4 torx screws (t20) and two smaller clips holding the speedometer. All that is left is the wiring. (I take a sharpie pen and mark one of my wire locations on the speedometer. I am not sure what it does. It is a single wire.)

It's not that bad at all. After you remove the three bolts for the power steering pump and the two bolts for the drive belt tensioner it is sitting right in front of you.

Talking the cluster out of the dash isn't easy, Thats why the Dealer wants so much to do this SIMPLE task. You can do this yourself if you have the time and the patience. remember where all the screws go. some screws are in glove box and others are inside of vents when u can access by gently prying the side of the vent cover with a small flat screwdriver, then look around the cluster fro screws oh and don't forget the screws under speaker covers on dash.

SOURCE: 2003 volvo s60, how do i adjust headlights

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

SOURCE: how to remove a 2003 ford focus instrument cluster

Remove the small bolts above the cluster , this should free the black plastic surround. Unclip the two plastic snaps that fit into the bottom half of the steering column and remove the plug for the trunk release button. This should expose the cluster better. There are 4 bolts in the cluster itself remove these and the cluster is free. Gently pull it out and look on the back of it for the plug, The plug has a latch on it once undone all the way the plug is free and you are able to remove it completely from the dash.

You can't put anything but a new drivers information module (instrument cluster) in that car. You will also have to have software downloaded into it to make it work.

Problem for Volvo 2002 S60 Volvo s60 instrument panel not working

This is not a fault - it's characteristics for Volvo.
The solderings are sloppy made and with a little oxidizing the problems start.
Find a shop which does electronics and let them go through all the soldered connections. Make sure that there's no loose wires anywhere.
