The orfice tube goes in the high pressure line, that is the small line near the accumulator, disconnect that line and the orfice is in the accumulator inlet tube, u may need an extra long nosed needle nose pliers to extract it.

Where exactly is the orifice tube located on a 1993 GMC C1500 4.3L pick up truck.

In the bottom tube of the condenser core. Remove the grill and the tube that comes up at about 60 degrees on the condenser.
If you look closely at the tube you will see a small dimple about 4ins along from the connector. That dimple is what stops the orifice tube from traveling further down the condenser tube.

Blew high pressure switch off compressor replaced that. wont take but 1 can freon high pressure

If you have not put too much oil and refrigerant in the system, then you have a restriction in front of the compressor. Most likely a plugged orifice tube, but possibly the receiver/dryer/accumulator. Both will have to be replaced and the system flushed. The orifice tube requires special tools and skills and unfortunately, it would probably be better to take this job to a professional at this point.

Where do i find the orafice on aa 1997 GMC Suburban with rear air. Also, I am replacing the compressor and accumulatro. Instructions say to add oil to the accumlator low side. How do i determine the low...

The orifice tube is located on the passenger side below the air filter housing between the connector and the condenser line. Break open connection and use a place of needle nose to gently twist it out of the tubing or used could use the proper tool if available. lol
Follow the line back to the compressor from the accumulator/ dryer and that will you which is the low side. Not that you should find a high side connection on the dryer.

Orifice Tube for 2000 Impala

Does it have crimp marks on the tube about 3 inches from the fitting? If so,that's where the orifice tube is.Most of the time, you simply disconnect the fitting, pull out the orifice tube & install a new one.Tip:if it has a lot of black junk on it,flush the system or you will end up having the same problem again very soon.Good luck,
