Check the switch just inside the gas compartment door . You may have to do it from under the car to remove.

If you are sure its moisture you can purchase a solution that will take the moisture out of the fuel as long as there is not water sitting in your gas tank. If you are letting a vehicle set all winter and going to use it later you should fill the gas tank with gas before storing and this will prevent moisture from forming in the tank as the weather gets cold and warms up. Even in the winter with all vehicles you should keep your fuel tank above half full at all times. People sometimes feel it takes too much money to fill the tank but it takes the same amount of gas to put in the top half as it does the bottom half.

Why does my gas gauge read half full when its empty.

it will help if you tell us what kind of car it is and dose this problem happen after you fill it while the car is running or is it off ?

When my gas gauge would read 1/4 tank it would die every time I slowed down. This last time that I filled it up at the gas station while running fine it would not start back up or I should say it wouldn't...

If it wouldnt turn over the problem would be a faulty starter motor , battery terminal clamp or connection or even voltage drop through the starter circuit. That fault sounds unrelated to the 1/4 tank fuel problem

The engine runs fine until it get to half a tank of gas.

I wonder if it could be that the tank's not getting vented properly... have you tried just taking the gas cap off and replacing it, without adding fuel? is there a suction sound when you take the cap off?

2004 hyundai accent. trouble filling gas tank

I have a 2005 Hyundai Accent, It is not possible to fill the tank if you are letting the petrol pump run at full speed.Trying to fill up quickly it will only build up pressure and cut off. Next time you fill up just pull the petrol pump handle half way, it will take longer to fill but you wont get the blow back. Modern petrol pumps are getting quicker all the time.Hope this helps you.

The fule tank vent tube is blocked/clogged. It's the little hole next to the filler hose that invites spiders that clog it up. Blow out the tube and it fixes the problem.

Lite poped on for gas filled it and now wont stay going

You got a tank of bad gas. You need to drain the tank and refill with good gas. If that doesn't resolve issue you need to check fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump gave up on you.

Fuel splash during fill-up

pull out the gas nozzle a little and then try again...because some tanks are just made wrong and if you move the nozzle back out of the tank and try to pump a little slower that might help you...hope this will help you...good luck..
