Mounting third row seat in 2008 Suburban 1FL, LS 1500 - Fleet veh

I am interested in purchasing a new 2008 Suburban 1FL, LS 1500 - fleet vehicle. It has all the features I need and desire; except, it does not have a third row seat.

Is the vehicle predrilled with threaded receivers and designed to have the mounting brackets and third row seat installed? I will not purchase the vehicle if the third row seat can not be installed.

I drive a 2008 Suburban LT and my company has a true work "fleet" suburban. The only difference between these two that I have is the back of the fleet vehicle has a thick rubber mat in the back with no seats. After removing the black mat I found that the channels and rods that the rear seats clip into are present. The third row seats are installed by clipping them in no bolts or tools are required.

Seats - Third Row
The third row seat:
  • is three-passenger seat.
  • a 60/40 bench seat.
  • folds down for more cargo area.
  • has optional power fold down seats.
Third Row Power-Fold Seat
CAUTION: To prevent possible damage to the third row seat or the safety belts, make sure that the safety belts are not fastened when moving the seat to the load floor position.
CAUTION: Make sure that no objects such as books, purses or briefcases are on the floor in front of the third row seats or on the seat cushion before lowering the backrest(s).
The third row power-fold seat consists of the following electrical components:
  • right third row seat relay.
  • left third row seat relay.
  • right power-fold seat motor.
  • left power-fold seat motor.
  • right front third row seat switch (if equipped).
  • left front third row seat switch (if equipped).
  • right rear third row seat switch.
  • left rear third row seat switch.
For the third row power-fold seat to operate, a shared ground is supplied by the body security module (BSM) to both of the power-fold seat relays, enabling the seats to then be moved by pressing one of the third row power-fold seat switches. The third row power-fold seat operates only when the vehicle is in PARK and the liftgate glass, liftgate door or any entry door must be open.
The third row power-fold seat motors transfer movement to a drive gear assembly to raise and lower the seat backrest. The power-fold seat motors rotate a short drive cable which is connected to the drive gear assembly.
The relay's are located in Aux. relay box #2

Fuse for 2000 f150 trailer lights

There are three, locate your power distribution box under the hood on the left hand fender well, in side this box locate fuse number 5, the row of fuses closest to the fender and from the rear of the vehicle the third one in that row is number 5. Also number 19 and 20, look all the way in front of the box find a group of four fuses, from the front the second fuse is 19 and directly across is number 20. This information comes from your owners manual, Roadside Emergency section. If you do not have a manual, you can go to, using the maintenance tab select manuals and enter your vehicle and download it for free. Hope this helps, let me know.

My experience with this in the past was yes, but it had to be done by factory authorized, installer, obviously for insurance liability issues that may arise. If you check,(don't have to buy) for price and availability from GM dealer, they will probably advise you of any such requirements, and if they don't say anything, you ask them. I know with my experience, with Chrysler, and basically same idea, I could pay for the seat, but it would be shipped to installer, to gaurantee done by them. That way everybody's rear was covered.
