SOURCE: my 1999 camry radiator has

I'm sorry to say, you can't. You can take it to a radiator shop, and they may be able to fix it. Most radiators have to be able to withstand pressure of up to 35 psi. this is the safest way to handle it. You can remove and install your own radiator. as to repair or replacement, that will be up to the shop. If you repair it wrong, you can do major damage to your engine. Have a shop do it, you will have a warranty if anything goes wrong. This is a smarter move. I can weld, and I will not weld a radiator. I have the equipment in my shop at home. I still auto repairs, and build steel fences on the weekend, and am not comfortable about something like this myself. I hope this helps you make up your mind.

These day its cheaper to simply change the rad and always verified the reason of the crack tank simply old age ,bad thermostat fan doesnt start engine overheat to mush pressure in the engine and the weak parts break first

Camry GRACIA 2.2L developED a crack in the plastic radiator top tank AND engine heats up and pressurises the radiator. How do I overcome this?

I think it is not a cost effective thing to try plastic welding the top tank. Just buy another rad off eBay or similar and put it in. Not a hard job. Replace the hoses too, and the coolant unless it is dead new.

2006 passat 2.0T, 44000 miles, problem radiator related and in the morning when I started car, about a minute later got engine coolant level light came i parked car in driveway but after 30 mi

plastic radiator tanks crack and fail with age and a radiator that is 11 years old is a candidate for failure
Unless there is a really bad failure ( bottom tank blown off under pressure ) the top tap will only leak under pressure and it is normally around the radiator hose section or along the area where the metal tabs attach it to the cores
I would suggest that the shop is reasonably accurate in their diagnosis ( would show up under a pressure test of the cooling system) so a new radiator would be in order

Overheating in 11 degree weather

Your thermostat has failed and is stuck in the closed position, thereby not letting the coolant circulate through the radiator.

1992 honda accord crack in the radiator top

there are places that plastic weld but, in my experience it does not work; too much pressure better to buy a radiator from a junkyard; just as good as new and, it won't leak again most of the yards offer a guarantee and, are much cheaper

Plastic radiator repair

I doubt you can actually fix it "yourself", but you can save lots of money by taking it to a radiator shop instead of buying a used or new radiator. They can replace the plastic tank for the bad side, but it is usually the drivers side because this is where the hottest water exits the engine and causes the plastic to crack. I removed the radiator myself and took mine to a shop and they repaired it for $40........cannot repair yourself because the tank has to be crimped on!!!! And radiator "stop leak" products will not work because they are for metal tanks!!!

Engine overheating

You might be lucky and only need a new radiator cap. The seal may have gone bad. If not there may be a small crack in the plastic of the radiator. It also sounds like you may need a new valve cover gasket. It's hard to tell without seeing what you have going on. :) Hopefully this helps get you going in the right direction.
