If you have power going into and out of the brake light switch, the next thing to check would be the turn signal switch.

SOURCE: 1989 Toyota Camry. No brake lights.

It could be the relay, which is a yellow box located under the carpeting in the trunk on the left side. It is a problem common to your model. Also, check the brake switch's (behind the brake pedal) functionality (12V present with key at ACC or ON and continuity between wires when button engaged).

i hope this helps

Lok in the trunk on the left side, behind the carpet for a small plastic box with a bunch of wires going to it. Look to see if there is brake light powe coming in with the pedal depressed. If so, and no power is coming out, you need to order and replace the "taillamp failure sensor".

Have you looked under the hood? There are more fuses under the hood. Is your dimmer turned down on your dash lights?

Brake lights aren't working, checked light bulbs they are all good, checked all fuses good, checked for power at socket, no power to brake lights

Likely the switch behind the brake pedal is out of alignment or is faulty as long as fuses, bulbs, and relay are good.

If the fuse is fine and the bulbs are good you should check with a test light if power is being supplied to the terminals if the problem must be reached in the brake switch is on the brake pedal. Thank good luck

My brake lights are out, but the third brake light in the rear window works ? what could be the problem on my 2002 toyota camry

both bulbs must be blown or bad connection to the rear lights, because all this is on the same circuit from the brake light switch.

Very common problem in Camry's.The wiring harness to the trunk running down the driver side hinge become pinched and or flexed so much they break.

2002 toyota camry breaklights not working

check the brake light switch mounted to the brake pedal. You should be able to see it if you look up behind the dash from the floor.
These can go bad which is the next thing i would check after fuses, and bulbs.
Just make sure that its actually moving enough to activate if so you will have to take it off and you should be able to jump the 2 pins on the connector with a piece of wire and the brake lights would come on. If they do its the brake switch that is bad and get another from the auto parts store.

87' toyota camry stoplight switch

Look under the dash on drivers side .There is an electrical brake light switch mounted to the brake pedal lever.Should be two wires going to it.Unhook the connector and check for voltage. You should have 12 volts on one wire.Jump the two wires over with a paper clip,if the brake lights come on replace the brake light switch...Good Luck...
