I have a 2004 Impala. when I turned off the ignition myheater blower stayed on what can i do tofix it cheap?


More than likely the resistor for the heater motor is causing the problem
it is located behind the heater motor under the dash on the passengers side. If the heater motor is making noises it may be drawing to much and caused the resistor problem.

Radio & heater don"t work


Well I just was looking at the problems people have with the same car i have and all I can say bout your heater and radio you going to have to put money in it your radio you may do yourself, 1. check your fuse box underneath your steering wheel towards the left very easy to pop off. the diagram list all your fuses. See is the one for the radio blown. 2. if its the factory radio you may is the clock still working? the built in amp may be out.as far as the heater i'm willing to bet you need to replace your heater core..... that's some money but any low rate mechanic can do it under an hour look to spend 150.250

What fuse controls heater panel


there is many fuses that work different parts of the heater controls, in the battery fuse box (under the hood) fuses (f1-8 30 amp)( f1-9 20 amp )(f1-15 10 amp)(f1-64 40amp) and in the central junction box (inside the car) fuses (f2-36 7.5 amp) and fuse (f2-45 7.5 amp) all these fuses control functions of the heater control hope this helps you out . please leave feedback

If your inside fogs up your windshield , i would say its a heater core leak. Check your coolant level it could be very low due to the leak.

How to replace heater core. for 2001 bonneville


It's a good idea to disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues during the job. You could drain some of the coolant to try & minimize the amount of spillage but unless you pump the fluid out of the hoses, you will spill some.

Remove the hoses from the heater core on the firewall side. There are several things you will need to remove under the dash & around the glove box area that you will see need to be removed (electrical & any padding/insulation/trim that obstructs the core cover, but you can eventually remove the heater core from the dash without actually removing the entire dash or a/c & heater assembly. Once you get access to the front of the heater assembly, remove the screws that hold on the heater core cover, remove the cover and you'll see the end of the heater core which can be removed & replaced. Generally, a gentle nudge from the firewall side where you removed the hoses will help. Then reassemble & hopefully you'll have heat & no leak. I suggest that in cold weather, you dip the hose ends into hot water prior to attempting to put them over the new heater core ends, this will only aid in the installation & prevent damaging the ends.

You may want to look at the new part before you start to identify just how it fits in the heater unit, based on the hoses from the firewall side that you can see & it will give you a good idea of how this all works. good luck

You heater only works on speeds #2 & 4 because the blower motor resistor pack is defective. Replace it.

Heater blows cold air, replaced thermostat &


try to back flush the heater core. and if that dont work check the blend door it see if it is working.

Over Heating


Heater core and radiator are separate issues. But, both may have the same problem. The best non-commercial way I have found to remove internal obstructions from either is to use a household calcium and rust remover (like CLR)...On heater cores, remove both hoses and fill the core with product, then let it stand for a couple of hours. then drain and backflush.
On engine radiator, remove it, plug the lower hose connection and do the same...fill with product, let stand then backflush, then turn radiator upside down & repeat in opposite direction. The reason standard water flush often does not work is that water simply goes around the plugged area and does not remove anything except for minor debris which sometimes can actually plug other passageways and make the condition worse.
Back to the heater. It's possible that a blend door is not operating and therefore not allowing hot air to enter the heater box...check this as well.
Definitely make sure that fan is coming on and that the thermostat is actually working (I don't trust anything new just because it's new) Also check sensor & relay for fan.
