check fuses and relays, might have to check wire harness for injectors, you may have a break in the wire and have to reconnect it. check for voltage at injectors one at a time see if its all or one

SOURCE: car off rd for 1yr.

did you use the gas that was in the tank? when gas sits for that long the oil and water separate. this is the most common reason that cars run like **** after sitting for so long. you may want to siphon the old gas out and put new in.

Does a 99 alero have a chip my car won't start?

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a fuel pressure gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check for fuel injector pulse, engine cranking. Those are basic tests.

Can you check for applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader.

Fitted cranksensor injector loom still not starting ?

You would put on a new crank sensor because the ignition system won't work, it gives no spark. So now do you have spark at a spark plug wire end? A blue consistent spark? Probably good ignition system, as long as all spark plugs get a spark.

One thing you always want to check with no start is the fuel pressure. Turning the key to on should turn the fuel pump on and put pressure in the fuel rail at the engine. Autozone and maybe others rent or loan fuel pressure gauges. Multi-port injection systems have high pressure specifications, around 40 psi normally. That is what the injectors require to spray out fuel when they pulse and open the nozzles.

With the injector circuit, the first thing to check is if each injector has power to it with the key in ON. One power wire and one ground wire goes to each injector. The power wire is from a fuse that is powered with key on or key in start, and then it is spliced to all of the injectors. The injector grounds all run into the engine computer, where the circuit can be internally grounded for a split second and cause the injector to pulse. But anytime the key is on, the injectors have steady voltage available to them.

Won't start,has spark, has fuel

Are you sure the injectors are spraying if the pressure is zero ?
Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator ?
Are the spark plugs dry ?

My car wont start, why

If it cranks normally, it is obviously not the starter relay; if it were the relay the starter would not operate. To begin with, when the vehicle is not starting you are going to have to determine whether it is losing spark, fuel pressure, fuel injector pulse, or some combination of these things.

You can check for spark by removing the coil assembly, plugging 4 known good spark plugs into the plug connectors and laying the plugs agaiinst the metal engine. Then have someone crank the engine over while you watch under the hood to see if the plug is firing.

To check for fuel pressure, you will need a fuel pressure gauge, connecting the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail test port, you can measure the pressure in the fuel system when the problem is occurring.

To check for injector pulse, you will need a logic probe or a noid light to check for injector signal (fuel pulse) at the injector electrical connector.

In order to begin diagnosis, you need to check these three things to determine what system the fault is in. Once this is determined, pinpoint testing down to the component level can be performed.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

99 bravada 4.3 cylinder 4 misfire/ cap,rotor,plugs,wires all good

If you are sure your spark is good, you need to verify compression at that cylinder, and fuel (fuel pressure from the pump as well as an injector pulse, if these are good, swap injector with another cylinder to verify the injector, if you have multi-port)

Have 99 sierra has spark and fuel to intake but wont start sometimes sputters but no go please help

You need to find out if you have enough fuel pressure, and if you have injector pulse. A noid light is a simple kind of test light that you can get at a parts house to test injector pulse. Unplug an injector and plug the noid light into the harness. Have someone crank the engine, if it flashes then your injectors are firing. Check all the fuses under the hood. You should have 55 to 60 psi fuel pressure.

Still need the codes.
Injectors can go "bad" in a couple of different ways; all they are is an electromagneticaly controlled nozzle. When the ECU "fires" the injector, it pulses a ground circuit for 4-8 milliseconds, the electromagnet powers up, the valve at the bottom of the injector opens, and the fuel shoots out, under pressure. The wire can be bad/chafed/corodded/ The electromagnet may be weak. The nozzle may be stuck. Lots of things. But, to put in an injector for a number 4 cylinder misfire (p-0304 code) would be one of the last things that I would do.
