Should be two different circuits with two different fuses and flashers.
Have you checked both circuits ?

SOURCE: Turn Signal Flasher location in 93 Mustang GT

The flasher is a small round plastic cylinder (unless replaced with a metal one) behind the left edge of the glove box that will look similar to the one in the fuse panel. The first step is to squeeze gently both sides of the open glove box and let it swing downward. It will be snapped into a metal horizontal brace just to the left of the glovebox opening by a small tab and have two wires attached. The number more than likely will be a #552 although I have seen a factory one with a Warner #224

  1. Access the COMBINATION Turn Signal and Hazard INDICATOR FLASHER on the Left-Hand (drivers) side of the instrument panel in the fuse junction panel.
  1. Remove turn signal flasher/hazard indicator flasher by pulling indicator flasher straight out.
  1. To install, align the terminals of the flasher and press into place.

Hi,

If I understand you right based on your post/description, the signal lights would still turn on even if any or both of the flasher relays are removed. Should this be the case, then the signal lights are not getting the power from the flasher relays but from the brake light circuit.

Perhaps your concern is not with any of the flasher, but simply missing or loose ground more particularly with the rear lights. Perhaps you could try determining which of the wires for the brake lights and signal lights (as they come out of the light assembly) would be ground . A test and even possibly a temporary workaround is to hard wire a second ground connection from the determined ground wire of the lights and attach it to any conveniently located bolt or screw to the body. it may be to your advantage to do this on all the rear lights assembly.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Look in the fuse panel and the turn signal flasher is the big round most likely yellow or silver in the corner of fuse panel. The emergency flasher is in the back side of fuse panel right directly behind the turn signal flasher.
Remove the emergency flasher and install it in place of the turn signal flasher and see if this corrects the problem and if so get a new flasher. If this does not correct it problem will most likely be the multi-function switch.

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a wiring diagram an a DMM - digital multi-meter ? Do you know what a factory diagnostic flow chart is ? This will not set any diagnostic trouble code's in the BCM - body control module . Looking at factory symptom chart , their is no diagnostic trouble chart for your symtoms . Have four choices .

Don't know the make and model of your car but it's possible to be your flasher module malfunctioning. If you use your flashers a lot this could cause a inoperative flasher and brake light from operating.

No turning signals


Turn Signal Lamps
The turn signal lamps are made up of the front park/turn signal lamps and rear turn signal lamps. The front turn signal lamps flash with the rear turn signal lamps when a turn is initiated using the turn signal/multifunction lever. The turn signals will operate only with the ignition switch in the RUN position and will not operate during hazard flasher operation.
When the ignition is turned to the RUN position, battery voltage is supplied to the TURN SIGNAL, CORN LPS Fuse. Battery voltage is then applied through the TURN SIGNAL, CORN LPS fuse circuit to the hazard warning switch. The hazard switch supplies a turn signal flasher signal to the turn signal switch. With the turn signal switch in the LH or RH position the corresponding turn signal indicator, rear turn signal, and front turn signal receive the turn signal switch signal and will flash. The front turn signals receive the turn signal switch signal from the turn signal switch via the body control module (BCM) . The front turn lamps are grounded at G101. The rear turn lamps are grounded at G301 and G302.

Sounds like your multifunction control switch needs replaced. Its location is on your steering colum.

Turn signals inop


Your flasher may have went bad. It usualy is round and silver. Or your fuse /relay is bad.check under hood on top of fender for a black box with fuses and relays in it . Look for turn signal or flasher fuse/relay on underside of box lid. Or look in the owners manual. Should also be fuses inside on drivrrs side undrr dash or passenger side behind glove box.

you have a short in the wire somewhere. you can trace the wires and look for any exposed or burnt looking wires to start out with.

Where are the fuses for the turn signals. Have the manual but cant find location! My left turn signal is not working on the motorhome


IF A FUSE WAS BLOWN BOTH SIDES WOULD BE INOPERATIVE ,, MOST LIKELY A BLOWN BULB OR CONNECTION PROBLEM OR POSSIBLE SWITCH MALFUNCTION . TURN FLASHERS ON AND SEE IF BOTH SIGNALS WORK WHEN REPLACING BULBS USE DIELECTRIC GREASE TO PROTECT AGAINST CORROSION

if the fuses for the turn siginals tests good then you will probably need to replace the signal light flasher.you should be able to find the location in the operators manual.
