Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
I have a Taurus with a 24v v6 DOHC engine which i just recently replaced due to the engine dying ( coolant leaked into the cylinder and basicaly exploded). After the car seemed to be running rough and i replaced the spark plugs which seemed to fix the problem. I just drove up to boston from the cape and on the way back the light came back on and was flashing. The road was covered in snow and every time there was a lot it came back on. Now im driving it lightly and the light has not gone off and still is flashing. I was wondering if replacing the wiring and caps would fix the problem or not.
That sounds like a good start. Especially if they are old plugs and wires. But the best to do is go to your local auto parts store and see if they will plug it into an obdII code reader to see if the car shows any codes.
You can always just try plugs and wires first if you want.
