Fuel gauge on my 2006 ford F 350 diesel is not working and I have already checked my sending unit and it is OK what do I do next to check the fuel gauge low fuel light also stays on

Try grounding the wire to the sender. If gauge goes to top, gauge is good and there must be some wiring issue. When you changed the sender did you check to insure the ground wire is good and making solid connection?

Where is the fuel pump located on the duel gas tanks?

Hello Gary - There is a low-pressure pump in each tank of your Ford F-350, along with a high pressure pump in the frame rail. The low pressure pumps inside of the tanks are part of the fuel sending unit assembly for the fuel gauge. I hope this information was helpful.

Fuel gauge alwaya read full

The wire between the dash and the fuel tank is connected to ground somewhere. there is a control that fails too but if the control failed the temperture gauge also won't work. The wire can get in troble inside the tank too as if someone tried to steal the gas with a hose. if you can disconnect the connector ( wireing ) at the fuel tank and turn the key on and the gauge goes to empty you know the troble is inside the tank and the pump sender unit will need to be removed from the tank to correct the problem or even the gauge unit replaced.70198425.jpg

Get the pump from Ford that goes to truck. You will also need a fuel solonoid to switch from one tank to another. You will have to run fuel lines from both tanks to solonoid along with wires to both pumps also a dash switch to switch tanks

Replace fuel pump 1989 cadillac deville

Hello, The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. Remove the exhaust, Disconnect and remove all hoses and lines, also disconnect all electrical wires, remove 4 bolts from straps holding tank. Drop tank down. Remove lines and hoses from top of fuel pump module, remove lock ring, pull fuel pump module, turn unit as necessary so you don't destroy the fuel level sender. Hope this helps

Level gauge not working think it might be the float gets down to a 1/4 runs out low fuel lightdoes not come on help me 2005 ford f-350

I'd rely on the motorcyclist trick of resetting the odometer rather than dropping the fuel tank and pulling the pump/sender to check the travel in the float.
Then again, I'm lazy.
