SOURCE: No dash lights, power seats or windows. alternator not charging. Engine runs

  1. It might be that when you changer the battery post you might not have connected all of the leads on the positive post. You might also check for blown circit breakers caused while changing the terminals.Try using a dc tester and search the main breakers for power. If you have the manual it shows the breakers and links in the bulb replacement section. JOHN-LA.

SOURCE: my car wont start but my dash and radio lights up,

still sounds like battery not holding enough charge or poor connection at battery, if thesre ok then will be starter motor.

SOURCE: Car will not run.

The 2006 has an engine imobiliser in the ignition and micro chip in the key fob. There could be a low battery in your key fob. Take your spare key or your good key and hold it right beside the push button when cranking. See if that allows the engine to fire and remain on. If so replace the battery inside the fob. You can do this by pulling the glove box (silver) key from the end of the fob and inserting the tip of the key into its slot sideways to pop open the **** shell housing and expose the internal battery.
Post back with results.

SOURCE: I have a lexus Lx470.

There is NO button to turn off. You need to have the codes scanned and reset, Something triggered a fault and lights came on. Lexus can do it and any good shop can read the codes and reset your lights.

My 2007 Altima wont start and its not the battery or the brake switch

My guess would be either the transmission switch or your alarm system activated for some reason while you were driving assuming your battery and alternator is good?

Ali, when you say won't start, do you mean it will not even crank, or does it crank and does not fire? Sounds like a computer or security issue .

I have a 1996 Geo Metro LSI car won't start, no clicking noise but lights come on

  • sure it won't crank the engine , starter motor just clicks !
  • try using jumper cables, and crank, off a running car.?
  • Fuses all good.? test them?
  • battery terminals clean, never green?
  • A/T transmission? did you wiggle shifter, as you crank it.?
  • a/T trans, did you try starting in neutral?
  • M/T trans did you press clutch pedal harder as you cranked it over? (repeat say 3 times, see if this makes it crank)
  • try a good battery from a good car? in your car.
  • charge your battery. using a battery charger..
  • Does hot wiring the starter solenoid , make it crank over?

When I put the key in the ignition it doesn't try to start everything else comes on then shuts off. I drove it yesterday but now it won't work

The remote starter module is not getting an electrical signal when you turn the key to the on position after remote stating the vehicle. When you depress the brake without turning the key on the vehicle shuts down. The remote module thinks the key is off even when you turn it on. There is a loose connection or the remote start device is defective.

2002 international 4400 truck W DT466e engine No start after replacing air brake compresser

It doesn't make any sense that you HP pump died while you were replacing the air compressor. Also, I don't think the crank circuit has to see oil pressure in order for the starter to turn...where would the pressure come from if not the pump rotating , how were you going to test for pressure if the starter isn't supposed to crank with a gauge installed? Does the A/C gear drive the oil pump?

2006 bmw 330i wont start. all lights come on and when button is pushed everything shuts down and then comes back on

Check battery connections if they are good have dealer to check the crank switch that is on the brake pedal. You have to press the brake for the car to crank and if the crank switch is faulty this will happen. Exact same thing happened to a co worker on a 2010 Altima. Everything worked except when she tried to crank the car the lights would go out.
Good Luck.

I did not read anywhere where you tried to provide additional power to the starting sequence.

try jumpstarting it. If the works, go to Autozone, they will test the output of the alternator and the charge on the battery.
When jump starting please turn OFF all accessories.

good luck and don't forget to vote!!!
