SOURCE: how do you remover the wiper arms?

Yes you must remove the arms, to do so, just use a standard screw driver to remove the caps covering the arm securing nuts on the arm drive shaft. The arms are secured on the shaft by splines and you should mark the arms in order to replace them in the exact position they are removed on drive spline. Lift the arms all the way up to avoid the spring tension when removing from the spline. Then you will need to remove the other panels that cover the motor and arm power shafts etc. Hint... disconnect as little as possible to accomplish the swap.

SOURCE: remove front wiper arms. Lift arm, slide out

Just pry them off. Make sure the tab is out the whole way. Sometimes they can be tough to get off. Spray with wd40 it should aid in getting it loose. You could even tap it a few times with a rubber mallet or a light hammer, just be careful. Good luck if this helps let me know.

I believe that when you hinge the arms forward and look down at the inside, bottom of the arms(at the base) you should see a small trigger mechanism....depress that and pry your arms off at the base with a screwdriver, now the arms are splined so they will only slide off that spline one way,and that makes it easy to re-install them, hope this works for ya.

Delay wipers only work on high speed on 2000 chevy silverdo 1500 truck no delay

Hello, my name is Ben and I can help you with this problem. This is a very common problem with Chevy. You need what is known in most vehicles as a "pulse board". The pulse board is located inside the wiper motor control module. On many vehicles the pulse board is replaceable, unfortunately on your Silverado you must replace the entire Wiper Motor Control Module which is bolted onto the top of the wiper motor. To get to the wiper motor, first remove those little nut covers on the big end of the windshield wiper arms, if you slip a small screwdriver or your fingernail they just pop off. Now unbolt the windsheild wiper arms, before removing the wiper arms, mark their location on the windsheild with a grease pencil or magic marker. The arms are hard to remove, you need to kinda wiggle and pull at the same time, now that long plastic cowl needs to come off, those clips at the front edge just slide forward, then at each end lift up that rubber flap and remove those TORX screws. Remove the cowl and set it somewhere SAFE, it's easy to break. You will now see the control module mounted on the wiper motor, unplug the electrical connections and remove the TORX screws holding it to the motor. Assembly is the reverse of dis-assembly. If you have any trouble or questions, feel free to ask, Ben.

How do i install a new wiper motor on my truck?

you have to remove the cowl (panel under wiper arms) by removing the wiper arms and taking off the screws in cowl. The wiper arms need to be pulled away from windshield then you slide the clip at the base over and pry the wipers off. Under the cowl is a screen you remove. Then you can get to the wiper linkage. You can pop off the linkage with a prybar or a big screwdriver. Once it's off you take the bolts holding the motor out unplug the connector and reverse order for installation. The linkages can take some serious manhandling to get back on!

1984 S10 wiper arms

No Problem! Look down on the Bottom of the Wiper Arm, wher it attaches and Swivels. There is a Small tab that comes off of the Upper Part of the Arm that looks like Two Front Teeth Sticking up just a Little. Take a Pair of Pliers and Pull this Tab Up Towards the Top of the Winshield to Release the Lock on the Arm. then take a Pair of Pliers with Tape on them so that you will not Scratch the Arm and Pull while you Wiggle the Arm right at the Swivel Pont and they will Come off. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!
