Could be ignition coils, sensors are also prime candidates a good mechanic should be able to read the error codes to help pinpoint.

SOURCE: i drive a vw jetta

I had the same symptoms and found I had suffered from turbo failure and the final cost at the dealer was $3500, last VW I will ever own. I hope this isn't your trouble too, good luck

SOURCE: 2004 Chrysler Pacifica: Gear is stuck in park-

This car has several points on the transmission that look similar to the drain plug. If they removed the plug on the driver's side rear of the transmission, then they dropped a linkage from the transmission drive train and it is now sitting on top of the valve body instead of falling into place when you attempt to reverse. Have it checked by a certified transmission shop to verify this is the problem, then I would strongly advise you to make the lube shop pay for the repairs if it is. Hope this helps, good luck!

SOURCE: Check engine light intermittently flashing, car jerking.

Could be fuel or electrical related. Since you may not know the history, this may take a while.
Any amount of smoke from exhaust? White, Blue, Black?
Start with most obvious and inexpensive:
1. Fuel filer clogged (replace fuel filter).
2. Could be the ECM (Electronic Control Module). It controls the ignition spark timing.

I HAVE A 1999 CHRYSLER CONCORDE LXI, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND RPM RACE TO 4000 WHEN DRIVING 55MPH?

First thing is to have the computer scanned for trouble codes.
My guess would be a torque converter or overdrive problem.

Have strong fuel smell coming from my 1999 Concorde. Can you tell me where to start checking and what it could be causing this. Thanks.

Check for clogged air filter and leaking fuel lines in engine compartment. If they look good, then trace fuel line back to tank.

1999 Chrysler Concorde lxi Temperature Control panel does not light up

Hello, This is a common problem for this car. The problem is a cold soder inside the control panel itself. Sometimes if you bang on them it will come back on temporaily but will go back out after a while. So your best bet is to find someone good with electronics that can find and fix the cold soder or I have see a few people on e-bay that trade them out for about $75 or you could also check with a salvage yard to see if they have a good one. Just make sure it has some kinda warrany because it is such a common problem the chance of getting a bad used one is pretty good. Hope this helps

My engine light is on, 1999 chrysler concord. what could be the problem.

The check engine light (yellow light) comes only when the computer control unit (called the PCM) senses a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system u will seldom feel the car engine run any different, there are about 200 possible faults that turn the light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen and Autozone parts stores do this testing for free.

'99 chrysler concorde turn signal lights are not working...i replaced the bulbs, checked the fuse...still nothing

If the turn signal lights come on but do not flash, the flasher relay is defective. If the lights will not come on, there is a loss of power so check the fuse as you have already done and replace it even if it looks good. See if you have voltage at the fuse.

RPMS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

more than likely it could be a crank postion sensor but more than likely the tranny is slipping or having torque converter failure.
