Long shot, but it sounds like your fuel system is losing pressure and having a hard time to pick it back up. I would have a pressure test done and go from there. Your fuel pump may be getting weak, or you could have a leak of some sort within the fuel system Hope this helps

SOURCE: Battery needs jump start if car is not driven for 3 days.

u either have a shorted cell in the battery or the system has a current draw like a glove box light being left on, try disconnecting the battery the next time you leave it, if it starts ok then u have a current draw and need to find the source of that draw.

SOURCE: car wont start...sometimes

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, usually cheapest and easiest to replace the starter and solenoid as a unit. It is always best to check for power between the solenoid and the starter with a test light, if the solenoid clicks but the test light doesn't light up you have found the problem in the solenoid.

Intermitant alternator light comes on-dead battery sometimes.new battery fitted

I think that you have a alternator/rectifier problem more than at battery problem. See how you go with the new battery and if it gives up on you, you will know were to go next good luck.

I have a problem with a 2008 Dodge Charger, my battery went bad and I had to jump it off to take it and get a new battery put in but now my new battery won't start my car not even when the new battery...

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

Muriel-sounds like you do not drive a lot, so that is probably causing a problem with your batteries-a battery is like a water tank, it starts out full, and it drains when the car is not running due to loads imposed on it by the radio memory, computer memory, and other things. If the drain is long enough (car sits) the batteries' ability to 'recharge' is diminished due to the conventional construction of a standard battery. A normal car battery can only be discharged a few times and come back-if you do a lot of short trips, and it sits long period of times, that is brutal on a CONVENTIONAL lead/acid plate battery. You should seriously consider getting a deep cycle battery-they are usually used in Marine enviornments, but can be used in cars (I have an Optima Yellow top in my Jeep, it is not driven much, and sometimes is only used for short trips). While these batteries are pricy can be found for about $200 or less) they can easily last 8-10 years and they car be fully discharged hundreds of times and they come back fully when recharged-ideal for your circumstances.

this is assuming the dealer knows what they are doing...after the car sits overnight, the battery should read 12.5 volts. when first started. it should read close to 15 volts at the battery AND at the large post on the back of the alternator-it should gradually drop down to around 14+ volts, and should stay close to the even with the lights and heater fan running ar full blast. if it is doing this, your driving circumstances dictate you get a battery more suited to you driving habits.

this is a common fault for Renault scenics.its the central locking/immobiliser system, and would you believe it, as the fault is intermitant(sometimes it shows, sometimes not)you will need to let the garage drive it around for a WEEK OR TWO so that they can put the diagnostic computer on everytime they turn it off.the last one i did took a MONTH.(swopped cars with the customer she drove mine,i drove hers).she now never locks it.with the remote.

98 Rav4 won't start. Problem is intermitant. Car

Clean your battery cable connections and your battery posts with some emery cloth. Make sure the battery clamps are tightly secured to the battery and that the other end of each battery cable is securely fastened. Once you have it started drive it to any auto parts store to have the battery and the charging system tested. You may find that you need a new battery.
