My 93 Eagle Talon was driving fine then Automatic trans. just stopped like it was put in neutral. Pulled over, and checked fluid, was full. It was freezing that morning (9 degrees) Trans, never slippe

Sounds like your pump just gave up, I am pretty sure you have fluid in the transmission. So if it is not your pump then something broke inside your converter. And the only way to find out is to take it out because even if you disconnect the transmission line and no fluid comes out when you start it does not mean it is the pump because the pump is powered by the converter. Or your transmission is totally plugged up and no fluid can get through. Good luck

Automatic transmission won t shift

you need to replace the NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH (some people call it a PRNDL Switch. Once you get it aligned correctly, all will be well. Install it in Neutral with the Shift indicator in Neutral. Tighten the Bolts and make sure the Park indicator is in Park and the movement of the Cable is correct. you may have to make multiple attempts to get it right.

Eagle talon will not shift.

A transmission usually does this if it can't read the turbine speed. Some cars use the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) for shifting and others use the TSS (turbine speed sensor) for shifting.

The TSS has a single bolt and a 4-wire connector. If your speedometer works, then I would suspect the TSS is bad. It'll be found in the transmission. Just follow the wires you see running to the tranmission and look for the 4-wire sensor with a single bolt.

My 91 Talon keeps popping out of 1st gear when taking off. What can I do about this?

Check for worn engine mounts. Have some one stand to the SIDE of the vehicle, engage the parking brake and put transmission in 1st gear try to take off as normal. If the engine moves excessively or tilts, you have a worn mount. When the engine does this it pulls on the linkage and pulls it out of gear.

Eagle talon

Could be:

1. Wrong fluid. Cheap, Just have it serviced with a fluid change.

2. Not enough fluid. Cheap. Go to parts store and add some according to owners manual.

3. Bad fluid. Too old or burnt. Have the fluid changed.

4. Transmission is about to go out. Very expensive.
