You probably have a faulty compensating port in the brake master cylinder that is not allowing oil to return from the calipers. check that the pedal has clearance by depressing the pedal and see how much movement before the rod touches the piston of the m/cyl It might also pay to flush the system as I'm guessing the fluid is a bit black

SOURCE: how take off pins not bolts on caliper 87 Ford Ranger front brake

The pins / wedges just tap out use a scewdriver on the metal edge of the pin just tap it out to the rear and when putting them back in just tap them back in from the front. You will see they are diamond shape and metal cased around rubber very easy to do just take your time.

check thickness of washer(s) with what you pulled off. if not the same that could be your issue. you may have to find the proper thickness washer to get things to line up.

The front right caliper on a 2004 grand am is leaking at the banjo bolt. I got a brand new caliper to replace the old one. It came with three washers. It's the first time I've seen washers ona caliper

When you replace the main flex brake line there is a washer that goes on both sides of the hole the bolt goes through. The third washer was probably an accident. Not sure, but usually there are only 2.

I would replace both rubber brake flex hoses,& then if

How to remove brake line from front caliper of 95 dodge neon

The brake hose is attached to the caliper with a banjo bolt. Use a socket/ratchet or wrench to loosen the bolt. Once the bolt is removed the hose can be removed fro the caliper.

Removal & Installation

NOTE Using a brake pedal holding tool, depress the brake pedal past its first inch of travel and hold it in this position. This will isolate the master cylinder from the hydraulic brake system and will not allow brake fluid to drain out of the reservoir while the brake lines are open.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

Negative battery cable Rear wheels Banjo bolt retaining the brake hose to the caliper. Be sure to plug the end of the brake hose or cover it with a plastic bag to prevent contamination from entering the hydraulic system. Caliper guide pin bolts Caliper assembly from the brake adapter by rotating the bottom of the caliper away from the rotor, then lift the caliper with the pads away from the adapter abutment Brake pads by pushing (outboard) or pulling (inboard) from the caliper fingers and piston

Fig. Brake hose banjo fitting (1), caliper guide pin bolt (2), caliper adapter (3), caliper (4), copper seal washers (5) and banjo bolt (6)

To install:
  1. Completely compress the caliper piston
  2. Install or connect the following:
NOTE The outboard pads are side oriented, make sure the spring clip is installed so it is positioned downwards when the caliper is installed.

Inboard pad clip against the piston cavity and press the pad until the clip is seated making sure the pad backing plate is flush against the piston

Outboard pad making sure the locating pins are positioned against the ramps. Slide the pad onto the caliper and ensure the locating pins are squarely seated into the holes on the caliper and the pad is flush against the caliper fingers.
  3. Make sure the abutment shims are in place on both slide abutments.
  4. Retract the caliper guide pins to clear the caliper adapter bosses.

Brake caliper. Staring with the upper end, position the caliper and shoes over the rotor and align the outboard pad upper edge with the caliper slide abutment. Rotate the lower end of the caliper into position Caliper guide pin bolts and tighten to 200 inch lbs. (23 Nm) Banjo bolt with new washers on each side of the hose fitting and tighten to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm) Wheels Negative battery cable
  5. Bleed the brake system and road test the vehicle

The right front caliaper is locking up both calipers are new and a new mastercylinder is new also whate do i look for a pluged line?

One of the most common causes of what your experiencing is from a collapsed flex line at caliper. The inside starts to deteriorate even though outside looks fine, and plugs line which will not allow fluid to return & release caliper. One way of checking is, jack that wheel up, apply brakes, then release & see if caliper still holding, if yes, try same but this time be ready to crack bleeder screw open. Crack bleeder, and if caliper releases, I'd change that hose. Keep me posted.

Replaceing brake caliper on driver side

I am assuming that you mean the brake line is made into the caliper. You will need to trace the brake line backward til you find the junction at the frame and disconnect it there. good luck. Dont forget to rate.
