Its really easey to remove the dvd unit under the pasenger seat. just put the seat all the way forward and pull the plastic guard from the seat track (pull straight back) then unplug the harness connectors in the back of the unit.
Then put the seat all the way back and remove the 1o mm nuts on the side brackets of the unit and pull it forward.

I had the same problem, sent the unit to Alpine for repair, and put it back in. It is a little tricky because you don't have a lot of room to work with but if you take it slow you can get it done. I have little mechanical aptitude but I did it!

This is touch panel for the all the systems? Not just nav? If so the screen has failed and you will need to see the dealer on a repair or replacement.

My 2004 Acura TSX's navigation system worked until about a month ago when it started saying "Error reading disk". I've taken the disk out and checked it since then. It looks just fine...

You will most likely need a dealer, that can work on that system

A repair shop may be able to,if they have the info to access
the Navigation system

Have to follow trouble charts to resolve

2004 Acrura MDX navigation system goes blank after disclosure.

I had the same problem and carefully cleaning the map DVD solved it. After years of use, a film gets built up on it. It is under the front passenger seat.
