Question about 1986 Volkswagen Wagon Camper
After driving for a minute or two, the temp light started flashing, but the gauges looked fine. Any ideas why this could happen?
Sound like engine is running hot . make sure your cooling fan is operating. check or replace thermostat.if all is good you could have a faulty temp switch.

Faulty temp switch. replace and try. This component is prone to failure and is not expensive to replace.
