SOURCE: how to repalce the battery

This is simple to do once you find the battery. Remove the rear seat (pull up on the front of it to release) to expose the battery. Then remove the Negative terminal followed by the Positive terminal. Finally remove battery hold down bolt to free the battery. ALWAYS wears eye protection when working on/near/with the battery.

Note- The seat belt configuration in the seat before removing... don't forget the seat belts when installing.

Use battery terminal protector on the terminals. Thoroughly inspect the terminals for signs of corrosion. Replace as necessary.

If it is like the 2002, one is in the engine compartment near the jumping post. The other is under the back seat.

Cant locate the starter on a 2003 buick lesabre

Easiest thing to do is follow the large positive battery cable to it. It will be bolted from the bottom, up to the block near the transmission and engine oil pan.

I noticed that my 2000 Buick LeSabre has coolant mixed with what I think is transmission fluid in the coolant resevoir. I checked the radiator and it has green fluid only and I checked the transmission...

If what you say is true, your transmission cooler (normally found in the bottom of the radiator) has sprung a leak. This is a repair that you want to get fixed immediately. Both your cooling system and your transmission are compromised. Get if repaired before more serious damage occurs.

One of yor options is to remove the lines from the cooler, plug the cooler in the radiator (cap it off) and add an external cooler available at your auro parts store. Expect to pay around $100.00 for the new cooler plus connecting lines to the new location.

You will have to flush both the cooling system and transmission when you are done ... better yet ... save the mess in the drive and get a pro to do it for you.

Where is the oil drain plug on my 2003 buick lesabre?

Should be directly below the engine at the oil drain pan. It should be a larger drain bolt that screws into the oil drain pan.

The transmission pan may be next to it but won't have a drain plug. The transmission fluid pan has several small bolts that hold it on and the whole pan has to be dropped to change that fluid.

Good luck on finding hte oil drain plug for the 2003 Buick LeSabre.

The engine cooling fans in our 2003 Buick LeSabre LTD don't shut off when speeds over 25 MPH are reached.

There is nothing to worry about. The cooling fans do not operate by engine speed, but rather engine temp. If the fans stopped working, then there would be a problem with either the cooling fan relays or the temp sensor which operates the fans. Otherwise, you are fine.

Rear air shocks 2003 Buick LeSabre

I'd have them checked first to determine if it is actually the shocks, or possibly just a loose or cracked line, which should be a pretty inexpensive fix. If it turns out to be shocks, weigh it out then.
