Dash lights are complicated as power is supplied by a ribbon cable that also does other features. Check the Light Dimmer wheel first as that is the main reason for having no dash lights..

What size engine ? Could have came with three different one's ! 2.4 , 2.7 , 3.5 L Has a fusible link , do you know what that is ? The heavier gage wire on the back of the alternator should have battery voltage . Check it with a volt meter , easier then checking at the starter , because the wire comes from the main power feed from starter .
