My lexus IS 250 2007 model, the two front rims and disks get very hot after driving a short distance

GL, I recommend you take your car in for brake inspection very soon, sounds like caliper or slides seizing which would keep pads in contact with rotors causing them to heat up. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2004 ele parking brake not pulling up to m.o.t s type jaguar

i presume you mean the electronic parking brake does not meet the minimum effort for mot test, first check the rear calipers and pads, the caliper sliders seize and/or the pads seize in the caliper frame, check the discs also for bad corrosion, is the park brake warning showing on the dash? if so check the wiring above the rear subframe its prone to chaffing and grounding out, the park brake motors are also troublesome, sounds like a pad/ caliper problem more than likely seized sliders easy job to free off, hope this is helpfull to you.

Replaced the caliper but the new caliper is still seizing shut when driving

Two possibilities are bad brake hose failing inside and blocking fluid return, or master cylinder not returning all the way due to miadjustment ot sticking linkage.

2001 Ford Windstar: Front brakes overheat resulting in applied brakes that will not release.

You have that backwards. You have a seized caliper that won't release resulting in overheating. You need to rebuild the calipers or replace them with rebuilt calipers. Upon replacing use anti-seize all along the bolts.

Front right brake is stuck on 99 dakota

your problem sounds like a seized caliper. You will need a mechanic to unseize it and replace the caliper. Parts are generally not expensive but to do it yourself you will need knowledge of bleeding brake lines. The caliper is what pushes the brake pads tight against the rotor to stop you. when you release the brakes, the caliper loosens. when it seizes, it just doesn't release

I have a 1999m dodge dakota pu 6cyl and both front calipers donot retract after applied

hi, sometimes rust seizes the operation of calipers, and the caliper PISTONS seizes solid. rectification is to replace BOTH CALIPERS ALWAYS. because if the left caliper works, but, the right do'nt then it will throw your vehicle into trafic or vice versa. you will need to take off the brake fluid pipe, but, if you use a BRAKE PIPE CLAMP and do one side first before undoing the caliper. the bleeding of the brake system is minimal it do'nt leak out so much. gerry

Brakes seize up and stay on after driving for a distance, especially in hot weather. They release when cooled down. Is this the master cylinder or calipers? Car is in good shape at 100 K. Garage kept all...

Jack car up, spin wheel, then apply brakes, and release and try spinning wheel again. If it doesn't spin just as easy, try cracking bleeder screw open, then try spinning wheel. If it spins easy after you crack bleeder screw, tighten bleeder back up & try same again. If same result, wheel spins when bleeder opened, then I'd replace the 2 front flex hoses that attach to calipers. If caliper doesn't release then you need to pull calipers and check if partially seized, or maybe slide pins that caliper moves on (that attach caliper to spindle) need cleaning and lube applied to allow calipers to move back & forth.
