Question about 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country
Engine stalled with a full tank of fuel. No spark at all. Fitted a new distr. cap and sparkplug leads. Sparks now. Fuel pressure good. Seems not to get fuel on the plugs. Fuel filter clean. Firing order 153624. All fuses checked and okay. Check engine probe flashes as follows. 1 space 2. Thereafter 5 flashes period 5 flashes. It just just want to start. What can the problem probably be
Have you replaced the crank sensor? The crank sensor on top of the
trans. bell housing does control the injector pulse through the ECM.
The sensor is a common problem with the Jeeps. Sometimes the sensor stops working when the engine is hot and will start again when it cools off and sometimes it dies from oil leaking on top of it or it just dies.
