Question about Cars & Trucks
Someone would need to check the starter for battery voltage and ground. The large battery cable should have voltage and the small wire should have voltage when the key switch is in start position. There may be a clutch switch or neutral safety switch in that circuit depending on the make model and year.

It sounds like the battery don't have the cranking amps needed to turn the engine over fast enough. Even though it is starting, soon it will drain more and won't start.

Could be one of two things.
1. Your starter motor is no good.
2. If you turn on your lights and try to start the car and they dim to almost black, then you need to check the battery connections.

SOURCE: car will not start
When you turn the key to start, the engine will not roll over?
When you turn the key to the run position, do you here the fuel pump prime, a humming noise from the gas tank?
Have you replaced any other electronic components, key cylinder, body control module?
Let me know.

Check the Starter Solenoid mounted near the battery.Check it out in the dark...have someone try to start it and see if it sparks at the solenoid.connections may be loose. Also check/wiggle wiring harness to starter.

if it does not crank then you might need a starter, if it does crank the you have to check to see if you have fuel pressure
