Travelling at 100 klh @ 2000 revs kicked down in Polo-revs up to 4500 but would not move up gear(s)

run the fault codes to check for TCM or other problem sensor in the transmission. It may be a protection item as it is unwise to kick down at that speed as kickdowns are used to change to lower gears when going up hill or pulling a load and need a lower gear . They are not meant to pass at speed .It is the same effect bas with a manual in overdrive at 100klms and suddenly shifting into 1st gear

You have internal transmission damage I expect the clutches on third and fourth gear are wiped out. Its either that or a solenoid gone bad that holds those clutches pressure get it in a transmission shop soon to avoid whole transmission replacement costs.

Car looses power up a hill

How slight was the hill and how much weight did you have in your car? When you got power back was it because you were no longer on the hill or were you going downhill?
You may just need to drop down a gear to get the power back, if you have a heavy car even slight hills can cause it to lose power especially if your in top gear. You have a "sports transmission" option (I'm pretty sure it's on all the DSG transmissions) you just need to move it across to the +/- bit and move the stick to the - to go down a gear. Otherwise you'd have to wait until your auto decides it's lost enough revs to go down a gear. Which is why I hate autos.
Otherwise it could be bad fuel or something wrong with the turbo.

Mazda Sentia 929 auto failure

Rebuilt gearbox probably... unfortunately!
If the HOLD light in the in strument cluster is flashing at you, it is giving you a transmission diagnostic code (like a kind of Morse Code). A transmission specialist or a Mazda Dealer will be able to read this code and plug their computer into the cars computer, and tell you what is wrong.
