Question about Lexus ES 300
I've read what seems like hundreds of stories of the acceleration problem that toyota has had. Most of them have ended in wrecks, or the owner no longer driving the car. There has to be a fix, right? I have an Lexus es300, 99' model that has this problem. It surges forward, speeding up by itself, and even with a foot on the break seems to be fighting against me. I've read that this is a result of the electronic throttle control, but still have found no answers on how to resolve this. Any ideas? I
Sorry Danielle but your vehicle does not have electronic throttle control . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop that knows your vehicle better then you .

Hello. Most likely the bulb has blown. These are replaceable but difficult because you have to pull out the dash to get to them. Call around to a few auto body shops also try an autoelectric repair shop. j.
