SOURCE: Replacing a drivers side mirror

There is a panel on the inside of the door where the mirror is.
That has to come off.
In some cases the door panel has to come off also.
Under the mirror panel there are nuts that hold the mirror on. Remove the nuts unplug the harness and install the new one.

SOURCE: 1992 Pontiac Grand PrixPower loss, erratic idle

spark plug gaps are very critical on computerised cars!! [some wont even start!]
distributor module may be breeaking down as temp rises they fail!
otherwise do compression check as it may have valve problems
also check plug leads & injectors aswell as the fuel pump pressure [ could bestarving for fuel]

Lots of nice to know stuff on an otherwise all day heater core change. Pay attention to the notes on NEW o'ring sizes and what screws to keep together.

I had a 01 grand prix GT, with very similar problem. I processed by way of eliminating the fuel pump, ignition module, catalytic convertor to determine it was 2 bad o2 sensors that didn't register on diagnostics. Hope this might be helpful, and good luck.

2001 pontiac grand prix, replaced blower motor, would only work on high, most of the time, at times it wouldn't work at all and when it did on high only. so I also replaced the resistor. I still only have...

Check for power at the HVAC CNTRL fuse with the blower set at any speed less than high speed. There should be power anytime the key is in the run position. If there is no power turn off the blower. If there is power with the blower off you need an ignition switch. The ignition switch is what supplies power to the lower speeds.

Ignition will not release the key. I tried moving wheel and gearshift but it refuses to come out! Ignition still works, but darn key feels loose but will not pull out.

This is a common problem with newer GM vehicles, either the key wont go in or the key won't come out. It should be a recall, I don't think there has been a bulletin on it. The key/ignition switch needs to be replaced. If you're worried about security because the doors wont lock with the key in the ignition, you can disconnect the battery and lock the doors manually.
