Question about 1987 Nissan Sentra Wagon

Open Question

Toyota camry bogs down during acceleration.

Every time i try to take off at a stop or at a slow spreed the motor trys to stall, and the suddenlly takes off. If i start slowly, it wont do it. Also at higher speeds it will not do it. Just when i need some power to take off. I have tested the fuel pump, its working. Replaced fuel filter, tested and cleaned egr valve. tested map sensor. Cant find any vacuum leaks. What is my problem?

SOURCE: 91 nissan Sentra losses power at highway speeds

remove the front 02sensor and drive the car like that, remove means complety take it apart from exaust, if problem goes away or gets so much better then your catalitic converter at the exaust is restricted and need a new one

tests:

cruise at say 45mph ok?
if i accelerate , it bogs then catches up?
if i accelerate, it bogs and never catches up?
if i go WOT, wide open throttle it has full power up a hill after the bog?

these test , are the KEY tests.
this tells me what is wrong.
i hope the car is tuned up, if not , why no? the 60k mile done?

1994 another Toyota Camry won't start.

Sounds like a timing chain , worst case, Would you say it's turning over almost too freely?? Look under your cap, and turn motor over, the rotor shouldn't turn if the timing chain is gone, but may turn if it jumped it's timing. Then you'll have to have a look under the timing cover . let me know if this helps

try disconnecting the hose to the brake booster and plugging it, the take it for a drive, ( you won't have power brakes so do this in a empty area)

1992 toyota camry v6 le boggs down on acceleration

It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. Your car should normally idle at about 700-750 RPM. You said that yours was at about 1000-1500, that is waaay to high. If you have a leak somewhere in the system the car will draw in extra air and it will want to idle much higher and will also be very erratic and hard to drive.

1996 Toyota Camry Stalls when slowing down/stopped

Your carb may need cleaning. I had the same problem with my Astra. If not then there is too much air getting into the engine.
