I have no idea what your car is but if inside the fuel door (where you add gas) it says E-85 you can run it. Your fuel economy will suffer as will the power. Your car should also have green badges or stickers on it that will say flex fuel or E-85.
There is no external feul pump, it is in the feul tank. Also there is no external feul filter, it is in the tank at the bottom of the feul pump assembly.I owned one of these trucks and was not pleased by the location of the feul filter either. If you can find a CARTER supplier they make a cheaper replacment that is same quality as oem.Good luck!
I dont know the year so it is difficult to be specific. Is there enough feul in the tank for the feul pump to pick up.Some feul filters have the same connections on both sides and can be installed backwards, this will cause a restriction because feul will only flow one direction. Can you open the feul cap and hear feul pump turn on for 3 seconds when the ignition switch is cycled.Let me know if i can help?
these springs are a bare to install. i take the door off the truck to replace the spring aka install it back. its a pain in the a** to install those. take the door off the vehicle which is attached with 2 bolts (8mm socket or phillips head screwdiver) and re-install spring on the bench. remember bare to install.good luck.
This is a common problem and its the sending unit in the tank. They use this same fuel pump assembly in almost all the silverado pick ups and the grand prix. You can find these things on ebay for about 67.00 delivered to the door. Its called the fuel pump module. The sending units float gauge is one of the most common problem gm has and there is some silent recalls on this.So if you want to do some investigating you may find that or call gm and ask them for the recall.I hope this helps you>Thanks for your time and have a great day....
