2005 GMC Sierra 1500 heated mirror stopped heating

The heater in the side mirror has worked in the past. I just noticed today that it wasn't working any more. It could have stopped a while ago but wouldn't have been noticed because there was no ice

Speaking of ice, I have a question about the rearview mirror which occasionally displays "ice" instead of the temperature when I start up. The outside temperature is usuall between 0 and +4 celsius.

I do not see a separate fuse for the heaters, so you have power thru the 25 amp breaker. You will, have to pull the panel up or access the mirror connector to trace power to the elements. Not sure which is easier. I have pasted all of the relevant diagrams.
Likely failure modes are open heating element and failed heater switch.

SOURCE: Rearview Mirror Adhesive

The product does work fine, you can try it again. Make absolutely sure that all of the old adhesive has been removed, I use a new, sharp razor to remove the old stuff on both surfaces. Be sure NOT to touch either of the clean areas with your fingers. If you do, take acetone and wipe that part clean. follow the directions and good luck.

1999 gmc sierra no heat in defrost but heater and A/C work

Is this a new body-style 99? The electric motors that control the doors inside your heater unit are prone to failure. Your best bet is to have a qualified technician take a look at it. A good scanner will show which motor is bad.

Drivers side power window, power lock, power mirror does not work , fuses ok 05 gmc sierra

The power window switch is actually a drivers door module. They are common for going bad. You have a bad one.

2005 GMC Sierra 1500 - heater blows, but only cold air

Check coolant level. Check for heat at the heater hose going from water pump to heater core at firewall. Check to see that cable is moving coolant control valve from the closed to open position. Low mileage so it shouldn't be plugged heater core.

No heat,engine temp.is normal

the valve that allows the hot water into the heater core is not opening. most likely electronic issue. also check all vacuum and electric lines.

2000 gmc sierra 5.3l heater does not get hot

After replacing the thermostat I pulled the heater hoses off and blew air through the heater core at firewall. Can only blow in left side as directional valves will prevent opposite. Chunks of stuff came out with coolant. I then put a piece of hose on the left side and shot water through until it came out clear.
Put it all back together and heat works fine.
