i was a GM mechanic for many years, the problem you are having is one of your mode door actuators has gone bad, most of the time it is the actuator on the drivers side that causes the problems, i have seen this many times, sometimes you can take it to the dealer and they can hook the computer up to it and recalibrate it but most times it has to be replaced , it is located under the dash in the area above your gas pedal.

I had the same problem to the T. I look online for all the same solutions and I can only tell you what worked for me. Actually what I think worked, HAHA! I went out to my truck and unplugged both battery terminals from battery and placed them together to supposedly reset the electrical system, "so I was told." After this for about 20 min or so, I went back out and in this order; re-installed positive terminal followed by negative terminal to battery. After this I checked locks and windows and surprise they worked. I've seen a lot of people say that all they did was wait and they worked later, so maybe it was that and not what I did, but who cares, they work now. Give it a shot and if it works for you, GREAT let me know, I HATE CHEVY CAUSE OF THIS......they wanted me to pay for a stupid diagnostic before they would help me........well screw you I fixed myself. the cheapest way to replace your window motor would be to go to a salvage yard to get the replacement. they are not very hard to install the hardest part of the job is removing the door panel without breaking the clips that hold it in place. just slide a big flathead screwdriver in between the plastic door panel and the metal door frame and twist the screwdriver that way the clips wont break on you.

bad switch or motor
To check the motor the motor has two connections. One for up and one for down. Try hot wiring the connections to check. If it works the drivers switch is bad
