SOURCE: 2004 chevy subarban blows cold air on one side hot air on other side

i was a GM mechanic for many years, the problem you are having is one of your mode door actuators has gone bad, most of the time it is the actuator on the drivers side that causes the problems, i have seen this many times, sometimes you can take it to the dealer and they can hook the computer up to it and recalibrate it but most times it has to be replaced , it is located under the dash in the area above your gas pedal.

SOURCE: drivers side power window

If your other windows work, then it is not a fuse. You may need to have your window motor replaced.

SOURCE: power door locks and drivers window have failed on 2004 colorado

I had the same problem to the T. I look online for all the same solutions and I can only tell you what worked for me. Actually what I think worked, HAHA! I went out to my truck and unplugged both battery terminals from battery and placed them together to supposedly reset the electrical system, "so I was told." After this for about 20 min or so, I went back out and in this order; re-installed positive terminal followed by negative terminal to battery. After this I checked locks and windows and surprise they worked. I've seen a lot of people say that all they did was wait and they worked later, so maybe it was that and not what I did, but who cares, they work now. Give it a shot and if it works for you, GREAT let me know, I HATE CHEVY CAUSE OF THIS......they wanted me to pay for a stupid diagnostic before they would help me........well screw you I fixed myself. SOURCE: 2005 Chevy Cavalier Power Window Motor Fix?

the cheapest way to replace your window motor would be to go to a salvage yard to get the replacement. they are not very hard to install the hardest part of the job is removing the door panel without breaking the clips that hold it in place. just slide a big flathead screwdriver in between the plastic door panel and the metal door frame and twist the screwdriver that way the clips wont break on you.

SOURCE: driver side power window won't go up on 99 chevy blazer

bad switch or motor
To check the motor the motor has two connections. One for up and one for down. Try hot wiring the connections to check. If it works the drivers switch is bad

Why does my 2004 Chevy Avalanche window get stuck?

The vehicle is now a decade old, and I'll wager that the window regulators have never been greased. GREASE THEM. You'll need to remove the door panels, clean all tracks and pivots, add lithium grease to all tracks, and use penetrating oil to lubricate all pivots. You really should grease the motor gear as well. DO THIS BEFORE YOU BURN THE MOTORS OUT, as that is what will happen next if you don't lubricate the mechanisms.

2004 chevy cavalier , had trany checked its fine seems to have power but when you accelerate it runs about 3000rpm and dont seem to go anywhere fast also cant accelerate up hills it slows down.checked coil...

Make sure the catlytic converter is not plugged up. That can make them bog down really bad and usually does not set an error code. If you can unbolt it where the exhaust goes in and wire it up to test the theory.

My 2002 chevy cavalier window is stuck and wont go up or down what can i do to fix it or atlest get me by

you have to replace the motor in it. i think this is a defect in the car. i have a 2002 cavalier z24 and had to have the motor replaced FOUR times in the drivers window, THREE in the passenger, and TWICE each in the back. they also re-did the entire electrical wiring (allegedly) while it was still under warranty... yet the problem persists. i hardly ever use my windows either. my back window is currently broken (won't go back up) so i am refusing to fix it

My power windows either activate slowly, go down but will get stuck going down or up, and will have to wait various amount of time before it will go back up (slowly). 2003 chevy cavalier

you might try cleaning the window channels where the glass sides in the door frame..with some form of air pressure then coat the runners with 100% silicone spray which will make that glass slide up and down with greater ease

Chevy cavalier 2005 speedometer stuck not working

This is most likely not a speed sensor problem, I see this a lot on 03-05 Cavalier instrument clusters and it's always the same. It's caused by failing stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board and it can be fixed. Check out this page for more about how to get it fixed - cavalier speedometer fix

Power window on my 2000 chevy silverado z71 won't go up

I also had the same problem on my 2000 Silverado 1500 Z71....on both doors!!! I found the best solution (even though I didn't have the money) was to get it fixed by a good mechanic who wouldn't screw up anything else in the process. Passenger side went first...then a year later, drivers side fell half way down. He researched the solution on his own...found out you have to buy the whole window motor assembly. After labor....300 bucks each window...OUCH!!! Bought my truck new in 2000. Window problem happened in 2006 then in 2007.

Drivers side power window dosen't work,is all the way down and won't come back up

BTW, the window seems to only get stuck down if it is taken all the way down - I've never gotten it stuck partway down. So in the summertime I try to remember not to take the driver's side window down completely, just keep it an inch or so up.
