SOURCE: 2000 Honda Passport wont start.

I ended up finding a repair shop here in Cleveland. The problem ended up being a short in the electrical system. My fuse kept blowing. That's why it wouldn't restart. If you decide to take your vehicle to a repair shop, have them check out the electrical system. My problem was found under the drivers side fender. Some of the wires were corroded. Good luck!

SOURCE: 2000 Honda Prelude hood won't fully shut

You need to adjust the latch itself. Loosen the 3 bolts and move the latch up a quarter inch. Other than that take it to a decent body shop and they will diagnose it for free.

How do you reconnect the top of the hood release cable when the hood wont open

What you will need to do is go from the bottom up with a sturdy metal rod with a 90 degree bent end and try to release the latch. This will probably take some time as room is scarce. If you are looking from the bottom up, the latch release is towards the middle left of the white plastic coolant reservoir tank. You will need to try to push it towards the drivers side.

For step by step troubleshooting click the link below:

this will help.
Thanks.

Drivers side door wont open

It sounds like the rod have come off the latch. Remove the door panel and look at the handles (they both have rods) operate the handles and you should be able to find where it has come off the one that operates the latch. Some auto part stores sell the plastic rod hooks in the "HELP" section.

My honda odyssey 2002 hood latch stuck it opened the hood and now not closing even droping the hood from difference hight and even pressing it ???

SOUND LIKE YOUR HOOD LATCH IS STUCK IN THE RELEASE POSITION. YOU CAN DO TWO THINGS. REPLACE YOUR HOOD LATCH OR PUSH THE LATCH BACK INTO POSITION MANUALLY EVERYTIME YOU OPEN YOUR HOOD. IT'S EASY. FIRST CHECK YOUR HOOD RELEASE LEVER (DRIVER SIDE KICK PANEL)AND MAKE SURE IT'S MOVING FREELY. IF LEVER IS OK,GO TO YOUR HOOD LATCH. LOOK TO THE RIGHT OF THE LATCH (LOOK DOWN FROM THE TOP VIEW)AND YOU'LL SEE A SMALL METAL BAR WITH A SPRING PULLING DOWN ON IT(MIGHT NEED FLASH LIGHT TO SEE BAR AND SPRING). TAKE A FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER AND PUSH DOWN ON THE METAL BAR WHERE SPRING CONNECT. THE BAR SURE MOVE ABOUT 1/4 INCH DOWN. CLOSE YOU HOOD AND YOU'RE DONE. YOU JUST HAVE TO PUSH THE BAR DOWN EVERYTIME YOU OPEN IT.

1998 honda crv bonnet wont release to open it what

Try pushing down on the hood while someone else pulls the lever to open the hood. Then lift up and release latch as usual.
Could be broken spring in latch.

Hood release cable is broken

Is there any part of the cable inside the cabin that you can pull with a pair of pliers? I suggest that you try that. You may need to disassemble it from the pull handle to make that work.

I have the same problem with my Passport.
Thought part of my problem was it got rear ended and dented the tailgate.
I am currently having the work taken acre of at a body shop that thinks they can pull the dent out and get it open again.
I guess there's a celenoid that releases the window and not a physical latch. It sounds a bit more complicated than I had thought it would be.
I don't know if this helps but I can let you know what they find out once I get the car back.
