Try pumping the brake pedel. If the pedel travel comes up, the rear brakes need to be adjusted. If the pedel does not come up, it could be a bad master cylinder or a broken brake line.

Ok about a month ago my rear passenger brake locked up when it was wet. It slid a little but I got stopped. It only did it that one time. And about 3 weeks ago I drove it to the store that night and it...

They're probably right probably is the master cylinder but now you have Air the lines so you will have to fill up resivor then pump the brakes up and crack the line then you will need to keep the brake pedal depressed till you close the line it takes 2 people repeat process over and over till fluid comes at you must remember to fill the main reservar as you do this if you get all the air and still have brake problems it means that it probably is the master cylinder but it doesn't hurt to change the brake fluid at anyway

Breaks spongy go all the way to floor before a slowly loud grinding stop

Some ABS equipped vehicles require a scanner to activate ABS valves to allow for proper bleeding of air.

Bleed abs unit

Find the bleed valve located on the caliper. Have car on and have a friend or someone pump the breaks 6-10 times then hold them in. While they have the pedal pushed in open the valve (pedal will go to floor warn them, they need to keep it down though dont let up)close the valve then they can release pedal. Do so all the way around the car stating farthest away from master cylinder: BR, BL, FR, FL. and do as many times as necissary till no air spits out when you first open valve.

There seems to be a break in the electrical circuit which is not getting contact, which only happens after u pull the ebrake one notch, however if it is not causing any operational problems then continue to do so till more probs arise.....................sodeep

How do you bleed brakes on a 1999 GMC Sierra with ABS 2wheel drive 1500 series

The rule of thumb is to start as far away from the master cylinder as poss. so it means you start at the right rear, left rear, right front, then at last left front. There is a little a little weep bolt on each calliper it needs to be un lossened when break is fully applyed then tighten weep bolt back up pump the breaks while weep bolt is still tight then hold brake pedal down to floor lossen weep bolt till a full steam of fluid comes out tighten bolt back up, now move on to the next break calliper and repeat this same proccess till you finished. Hope this works better than r/r l/r r/f l/f lol!!!!
