Question about 2006 Mercury Milan
Several times my car has stopped having power to gas while driving- after researching online many people have had the throttle body assembly replaced. can I do this myself?
Your car has a gas pedal accelerator it is a sensor on the gas pedal

This is easy. Lift the lid open. Look at the back of the sealed beam and you will see a clip and an o ring. Pull the clip up and pull wires back toward the driver's seat. Unscrew the o ring and firmly pull the bulb out toward the driver again. Note the 3 tabs on the bulb seat and realign the new bulb with those tab ( 2 bottom, 1 top). Replace with #9007 bulbs..do them both.

Remove the lugs at the battery. Clean the posts and the lugs - then reconnect. Your battery won't charge (and the jumpers won't work) largely because of a film on the + post and lug. If you live in a hot summer area, (Arizona) the problem is especially troublesome.

Try a salvage yard for the part. As soon as your new car left the lot it became a used car. Used cars run on used parts.
If the old part is a recall they will upgrade you regardless which part is on your car.
Check the internet and enter your part# in the search box of the Browser. You may get lucky for a new part.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and mirror. Then you can remove the bolts securing the mirror onto the door

Even though your current radio has an AUX button the radio is not programmed to utilize it.
There is no 'easy' way to add the '07 Job 2 and later year model's factory Aux input.
You will need to buy an aftermarket solution. Something like this http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=821&CategoryID=24
