Adding a little to MrScary's response.

His heads cup on some of the pins and clips breaking is spot on. Whether coming off or putting it back on, some are going to break.

If you have a U-Pull-It type wrecking/salvage yard near you, that would be a great source of not only advance replacements, but a practice run as well.

It has a Few of Both. The bottom is Pushpins But, Closer to the Top there are Screws holding a Few Components on. Look really close for Small Screw Covers or just Small screw Heads. Get some replacement Door Pushpins before you Start as you will break some!

The eazy way to take off a driver side door pannel from 2004 chevy tahoe

The easy way? Goliath it- just rip it off !
Panels are held by several screws and plastic push pins. The screws may be covered by little rectangular snap covers. Pry off the covers to access the screws. One screw should be behind the inner door handle, holding a piece of trim there. Radio speakers are held on by screws, and so might be the trim piece over the speaker. Remove all screws first, check carefully for any hidden ones. Door pulls or armrests may have larger screws holding them fast. The plastic pins are usually around the lower perimeter and up along the sides. Slip a putty knife or thin screwdriver behind the panel and near each pin to pop them out of the frame. Check for anything else holding the panel, like outside mirror screws that go through the panel. When you have the panel all loose, lift out and up from the bottom to clear the window channel. Unplug electrical connections and panel should be free. The plastic water shield is held to door frame by adhesive. Peel it off and save for reapplying. Without that plastic sheet, moisture can get to electrical connections, and mold can start ruining the inside of the door panel.

My window does not roll down how do i disasemble the door

i assume you have checked fuses if its power window right?

now ususlly the handle comes off with about two big phillips screws. #2 screwdriver is needed, then remove the cover for the mirror..sometimes screwed in, sometimes attached with push pins. remove the power window and door switch panel (if it has power windows) or remove the window handle, with a 90 degree pick or small screw driver, careful not to lost the clip..once removed then you can remove the screws at the bottom of the door panel..i think sometimes 3 or 4..if not, then its all held in by push pins...CAREFULLY pry behind the door panel and pull STRAIGHT out until all clips are let out and lift up on panel to remove it from window cill.

Need to remove door panels to fix power windows and replace with no damage.

Door Panel
  1. Open the window.
  2. Unscrew the door lock knob.
  3. On Explorer/Mountaineer, remove the 2 screws retaining the trim panel located above the door handle.
  4. On Ranger, remove the two screws in the armrest and remove it.

5. If equipped with manual window crank handles, pull off the handle cover, then remove the attaching screw.
6. Remove the trim cup behind (Explorer/Mountaineer) or around (Ranger) the door handle using a small prying tool. Retention nibs will flex for ease of removal.
7. If equipped with power accessories, use the notch at the lower end of the plate and pry the plate off. Remove the plate from the trim panel and pull the wiring harness from behind the panel. Disconnect the harness from the switches.
8. Remove any retaining screws uncovered by the removed trim pieces.
9. Using a flat wood spatula, insert it carefully behind the panel and slide it along to find the push-pins. When you encounter a pin, pry the pin outward. Do this until all the pins are out. NEVER PULL ON THE PANEL TO REMOVE THE PINS!
10. Lift slightly to disengage the panel from the flange at the top of the door.

Pry out the trim panel-to-door frame retaining clips, then lift up and pull the panel free

  1. Disconnect the door courtesy lamp and remove the panel completely. Replace any damaged or bent attaching clips.
  2. Installation is the reverse of removal.

How do you remove and replace a drivers side door window on a 1993 Ford Tempo

The first step is to remove the door panel. The door panel is held on to the sheet metal door frame by plastic push pins that fit inside the door panel (where you can't see them). Use either a flat head screwdriver, or probably a pocket knife would work best, and slowly work your way around the door panel prying the panel and plastic push pins away from the sheet metal. There will be most likely a couple of regular screws in the middle of door but will be much easier to notice where when you have the those pins pushed out. Once you have the panel off your window motor sits inside your door frame and is bolted on (3 bolts if I remember correctly) and attaches right on your window lift assembly. Your window is also fastened to the assembly by two plastic clips that push in on the very bottom of the window. When removing those clips be careful not to apply too much pressure as the curve of the glass makes it very easy to shatter. It would help if you could get someone with small hands to do it. Once the clips are removed you can remove the entire window and replace. PS If you break a few of the plastic push pins don't fret because Autozone sell packs of them to replace. Hope this helps, let me know how it goes and if you need some more help. Good luck!

How do i replace pass. outside mirror on a 04' nissan maxima

First you need to get you a new mirror, then once you have it remove the door pannel, so you can get access to the screws located behing the little tweeter located on the inner side of the mirror. To remove the door pannel you need a philip head screw driver with magnet preferable, or a socket size 10mm. remove the little plastic square on the door opener of the inside, plus remove very carefuly to not brake the clips gray shiny of the hand rest side and remove the two screws of the very in. once you remove the those two screws, insert something flat in behind the pannel to be able to lift it, try to pull out kind of gentle try not to lose the white push pins of the back of the pannel. now you have the view and access to the screws that hold the mirror and don't forget sometimes the new does not include the wheater strip going inside the mirror to prevent the water of going in, Just reuse it and screw it back and just do everything vise-verse. Good luck!!!
