Question about 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Headlights and other lights are not connected to the engine system. If the dash lights go out and the engine stops there is a fault in the ignition system. A simple check is to remove any objects (keys, pencil tourches stc from the key as they swing with the vehicle they can and do turn the ignition off just a quick check before spending a lot of money
